Yellow Piano Live version

Featured Replies

During the live concerts, Chris plays a mellowed down version of Yellow on his piano before they play the proper version, anyone know how he plays it and what chords he uses? I suspect only Chris knows this, but worth a shot lol

You can get a studio version of this if you search YouTube "every mother counts" and look for it. :)

The better quality may help you find what you are looking for.

wow thanks, doesnt help with knowing what chords he uses cos im clueless to know what chords someones playing when listening to them lol, but that version is awesome, going straight onto my ipod! Why is it hidden away? lol, this shouldve been a b-side or something

I wish it were too but remember that the band are hiding it because they aren't being prominent with charity work like before.

What is that effect called on Chris' voice at 2:28?

Its a popular effect that is on a lot of songs...

I want it on my voice sometimes :D

-Also I'm going to try to learn this by ear. It won't be exactly how he plays it but it'll sound like it.

I think he layers his voice and harmonizes, but I dont wanna say autotune

I actually got all the way up to the chorus. I'll post my findings after I'm done :P
