HELP!!!! With iTunes, Windows, The filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect, etc

Featured Replies

My computer deleted all of my music videos from my USB stick (but weirdly not my Coldplay ones) and they can't be found on iTunes and the little "!" sign shows up next to the media. Some of my files have odd names like: ≡|HJ∞E.á:9. When Windows doesn't even let you name your folders and files with that sort of punctuation, its not even on my keyboard!! And the file modifying dates are all messed up too, it says stuff like: Last Modified: 30/08/2018, or 15/12/12, when its only September!! It only happened last night when I was putting Blink 182 on my iTunes (I got the music from Youtube mp3, BTW). iTunes seemed to have forgotten my Coldplay - Acoustic [EP], Example - Won't Go Quietly, and Coldplay - Live 2003, plus all my music videos expect Coldplay ones. I can't delete the weirdly named files as it says: The filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect, when I try to open the folder, when I try to delete or move the file or folder it says: Cannot read from source file or disk. It's like if you're searching on Google and it says: This page is in Chinese, and all the little squares (文) like that show up. I'm starting to think that my USB stick or computer may go corrupt and mess up my iPod or lose all my music. I can't back up my music anywhere as my computer's hard drive is very small, only like 32GB (its very old) and that's the whole reason I have to have all my music on USB stick.Help!!! Thanks, I would be very thankful if anyone could tell me how to fix the problem or has advice.

Sounds like the USB stick is buggered up, like it got removed when it was being written/accessed.
