Although Up In Flames is just one of three songs that ruins Mylo Xyloto for me. The others being Us Against The World and UFO. All three are what you would expect from Coldplay yet that is where they fall. Makes me relieved they didn't do an acoustic album after all.

I think that those songs create a good contrast with the more electronic songs but yeah, I don't think a whole album like that would have worked :nod:

the up in flames part is the only good part plus the guitar riff .the song as a whole sucks balls really so if you copy the best part of the song then yeah you might consider that as total ripoff at least for me it is

A lot of people don't understand that everyone copies everyone. I like how OP assumes this is 'ripping off' of some riff, when, like you said, it is two notes that are similar.
