Four dead in NSW helicopter crash:

Four people have been killed in a helicopter crash near Wollongong, south of Sydney, this afternoon.

Australian media say the crash happened near Panorama House, a popular wedding venue in Bulli Tops, north of Wollongong.

The helicopter is reported to be a Robinson R44, four-seater light helicopter, which had been privately hired at the time.

The chopper is believed to have been carrying a wedding party, including a child.

Eyewitnesses told media they heard a huge crash and the helicopter was fully engulfed in flames.

An Air Services Australia spokesperson told media the chopper was operating in uncontrolled airspace at the time.
