Can anyone tell me what guitar tuning Chris uses on Hurts Like Heaven? I know he has the capo at the 6th fret but is it then tuned to an open E chord at the 6th fret? Thats as close as I can figure. Lots of stuff on net but most seems wrong. Any help appreciated.

You're right. It's EBEG#BE (Open E).

Yep. just throw a capo on the 6th fret. try some of these chords. From Low E to high e and frets relative to capo. (0-0-0-3-0-0), (5-5-0-3-0-0), (5-5-0-5-0-0), (3-3-3-0-0-0), (4-2-0-0-0-0). cheers man

Open E on 6th fret indeed - the dead giveaway is that sometimes (in live performance) Chris strums the guitar without fretting anything. Which you can't do unless you have an open tuning.
