Not so cute anymore..

 

Hi guys. I just got this puppy from I still don't know who gave it to me..:dozey: Anyway, he was fine and all jumpy and playful and so cute, but it is not the case for today. He's been down all day long. What is wrong with him? He didn't even eat anything! He is making me sad.. he has a sad expression in his eyes..:\

maybe he just misses his mom and dad. that happens with a lot of animals for a while... most likely he'll get over it very soon. what kind is it??

has he eaten anything since you got him? maybe he's not used to dry dog food yet too

He was eating fine and all, but today he's been all lazy and sad. I didn't even know what kind it was until I looked him up. He is Rat Terrier puppy and looks like this one

I already did. The day before yesterday. They said he was fine.. Do you think it may be because of the shots they gave him?

maybe it is just sad because now it realizes its parents aren't around anymore. Give it a little more time...maybe it will adjust :confused:

I guess.. he's making me sad though and he was bitting me yesterday! :(

it's understandable how seeing him all jumpy one moment and then sad looking the rest of the time can be sad ...

 

but he was biting you? real badly or playful?

well he already ripped my shirt the other day..:dozey: and I was wearing shorts yesterday and he was bitting my socks but then he starting bitting my ankle, so I gave him my sock. He seemed happy with it. I bought him one of those chewing bones today for him to play with it but he's been down... :/

man... I dunno what to do..but Just keep a close eye on him...

 

take him to the vet again if he keeps being down

 

maybe they have puppy prozac?

:) You can never really know what's wrong..

puppies are the coolest. I'm sorry for yours, but I can't give advise...I hardly remember when my dog was little (somewhere round 8/9 years ago).

Soemone else already said it, but I'm adding my agreement because I've seen this with dogs and cats. Vaccinations can make them sore and sleepy and the trauma of a move doesn't help. It's probably just a matter of time. As for chewing socks, shirts, ankles etc, they'll do that...ALOT!!! Once he gets feeling better, the chew bone'll help. In the meantime, the best advice I can offer is that if he's going to chew your shirt, make sure it isn't a Coldplay shirt...lol...Good luck wth him!

To whoever wants to know how my puppy is doing. He was fine the next day. I took him out to run with me. He was very jumpy and playful until we got home. He threw up on the carpet. It was dead worms what he vomit. Anyway, I took him right away to the vet and was very upset at them because they told me he was fine.. argh! So they gave him another shot and some medicine so he is supposed to be fine the next couple of days..

 

I'm just kinda sad because I just got him and he already got sick..:\
