I have a request for you. I'm a Dutch student and I have an assignment from school to interview some people about pop/rock music. The thing is that it has to be people that I don't know. Would anyone be interested to answer some question?

I have added a document, so it's easier for you to answer the questions. There are some questions that I understand could be a little personal so you don't have to answer then if you don't feel comfortable. 

The assignment is to make a music campagne for a Spanish pop/rock artist. And this way I get an image of what pop/rock listeners like and what they don't.

pretty much every day

 

How important is music in you life on a scale from 1 to 10?

10, I can't imagine living without it

 

What do you like so much about Coldplay?

 

What makes a good song?

Mostly the melody, but also the vocals if there are vocals

 

What do feel when you listen to Coldplay?

 

How do you discover new music?

Spotify, the radio, support acts at gigs

 

Do you rather go to a festival or a concert?

I love both, but if I have to choose I'll pick concerts. They're less expensive too

 

What is something that irritates you when you’re at a concert?

People talking. Please, just go to the bar.

 

What social media do you use most?

 

What attracts you on social media?

 

What color do you associate with pop/rock?

Red

 

Do you prefer bright colors of light/pastel colors?

Usually positive I think

 

Would you call yourself more of an extravert or an introvert?

Introvert

 

Do you make decisions quick or not?

Not at all, I usually hesitate for ages

 

Do you enjoy music in another languages?

Yes some music in French is great. And sometimes I also like not understanding a single word, like with Sigur Ros

 

What comes to mind when you think about Spanish music?

Annoying party music  for some reason? And also relaxed Cuban stuff

What do you feel when hearing this music?

I feel like I'm on holiday in Spain, which is nice, but the music really isn't my cup of tea. With the first song, I felt like I had heard all of it after a minute if you get what I mean. The second one is okay. I found the 3rd one rather forgettable too.

What do you like to do in spare time?

- reading, writing, listening to music, talking to people

 

How often do you listen to music?

- every day

 

How important is music in you life on a scale from 1 to 10?

-10, couldn't imagine my life without it

 

What do you like so much about Coldplay?

- EVERYTHING. The songs, the melodies, the soundscapes, the lyrical themes, the band as people and their behaviour and attitudes.

 

What makes a good song?

- Melody, melody, melody. And then composition/atmosphere

 

What do feel when you listen to Coldplay?

- warm. safe.

 

How do you discover new music?

- streaming, but not playlists. i like to listen to entire albums of artists i don't know yet

 

Do you rather go to a festival or a concert?

- a concert because my taste is rather eclectic, so at a festival I probably wouldn't like 90% of the music I hear. That said, festivals can have great atmospheres

 

What is something that irritates you when you’re at a concert?

- tall people in front of me as I'm rather small. rude security. not being able to take stuff like cameras inside.

 

What social media do you use most?

- Twitter, YouTube

 

What attracts you on social media?

- making new friends, talking to like-minded people

 

What color do you associate with pop/rock?

- no idea

- bright but not too bright

- really mixed

- Hijo de la lunaaaa....Great song. Also Las Ketchup in my childhood ? But unfortunately most Spanish music that plays here is the same stereotypical superficial party music in summer... ?

- listened rather shortly, i didn't find it interesting enough to keep listening. the second one was not bad but also nothing special.
