All right, so is anybody else in agreement with me that Charlie Parker is THE LORD? Seriously, I just finished listening to a live album of his, and I can never get over how mind-blowingly amazing his improvisations are.

 

Best saxophone player ever (sorry, Coltrane).

In my music class in high school, my teacher made us listen to Charlie Parker all the time. Very cool class. :)

definately give a thumbs up for charlie parker! he can sing on his sax!

 

you might want to check out sonny stitt as well... for he can have just as much energy.

 

as for john coltrane...he's a perfectionist. if u haven't heard coltrane's 'blue train' album...u should. it's worth the listen.
