I have noticed people are more comfortable with their friends smoking around them here, when they dont smoke themselves... !

 

In the UK people at times tend to be horrified when they dont smoke and you smoke around them...

I'm sure you can find loads of things to do during the week, you're in a big city and Barcelona offers a lot possibilities!

I still think I am just a little of that... I dont know..

I used to think when I was in the republic or other bars and I had a few drinks my lauange was good enough as there are plenty of people whom are spanish/ catalan when they have had a few drinks like to play exhanging launages... but I relaised after a while we were as awful as each other at each others lanauages.. when we had a few drinks so I dont do that anymore...

 

And the lanauge exhanges on Loquo are mainly full of guys trying to get english speaking girls into bed..

hey something good happend today..

I found out how to use my MP4 player a little better.

Before it never played albums in order... so when I had a album of a concert it never played it in order.

 

But when 1st got it I had forgotten I changed a setting on it to play album tracks radomly... but then I relaised I could play all the tracks radomly on its intellegent shuffle feature. I was going to take it back or complain that it never played albums in order.. I would have looked very silly, as nothing would have been wrong with it... !

No these days I am fairly confident in speaking spanish with friends or people I know whom dont speak english. Ones that speak english I am fairly shy, as at times they have been used to me speaking in english.

 

With people that like to speak catalan they now understand I am better of speaking spanish to them as its better as long as I greet them in catalan !

don't you read the user's manual when you buy a new device? I always do that til a point that I almost know what it says by heart.. hahaha :lol:

Well we do, but when they speak a higher level of english than my spanish it makes sense to speak in english.. unless we struggle with words..

 

like we have tried at times... ! but you know most of your words... or phrases in english anyway.. and when you get stuck I am usless anyway.. well I hope a little better now !!

No I never read the intructions boys never do that...

we just make it work !!... we read the instructions as a last resort if we have not lost them or forget were we have placed them.

 

We consider ourselfs far to clever to read instructions... !

And I bet this is going to happen to me when I go to Aberdeen, I'll be in the same situation than you are with the Spanish but hopefully I'll survive. I wouldn't like to go there just to stay with some Spanish fellows(as a ghetto or sth) and spend all day speaking Spanish...

I think my lanauge has improved quite a lot since I have been these new classes.. ! I pratice a lot in the argentina thread.. and been told or proved I have understood someone a lot better than before.... !

I have to use my spanish everyday..

i have not option as sometimes I dont even see english speaking somedays !!

This may help you then! It's the only way to really improve it!

I'm doing well although this weekend has been weird because of my mood. I was quite sad for no apparent reason and spite of me telling myself that I should be happy, I kept on being low. But now I'm feeling better.
