bass to repair: $30

2 sets of flatwound strings ("recommended"): $40

new teacher for music lessons: $17 / half hour

being an aspiring musician: ripoff

that sucks balls....but i wouldn't call it a ripoff. music in itself is a better reward than i could ask for, to me at least

TWO sets of bass strings?

you don't need two sets, mate. Bass strings last a fucking long time. That extra pack will soon be collecting dust on a shelf somewhere.

$30 sounds about right for the repair job, though.

yeah i didnt want to get 2 either

but i had to get one cuz of the repair they put new strings on it.

but one set cost $28 and 2 cost $40

so i figured it was a deal

haha

Yeah, so in about a year from now when the first set have finally bitten the dust, you won't have to pay anything for another set.

I never really liked the flatwound strings all that much, though. They just don't feel right to me for some reason.
