Haha, i noticed that too in Target recently

Did anyone listen to this new KiddNation or what it was radio interview and felt the awkwardness about it ? This one: http://www.kiddnation.com/backstage-chris-martin-interview-at-730c/ 4 mins of talking with Chris and Jonny buried in 12 minutes of a terrible interviewer laughing about his own funnyness and the way he handled the "interview"... I sometimes wonder if interviews can get any more superficial. At least it was clear from the start "Nobody wants to hear about the music, the listeners care more about what it feels like being them etc." The jokes Chris did were quite nice though :)

If you can tell me something worth fighting for ! ;) :P Seriously, the reasons I would say I like Guy least are the following: He is the one who I believe appreciates the fan connection least, i once read he has sometimes, especially in the older days, reacted not so kindly when fans spotted him. He is probably the one member of the band who I wouldn't immediately approach if I ran into him on the street. He has a grudge against Talk, which is why Coldplay will probably never play this masterpiece live again, as Chris once said in an interview. Apparently there are also some other older songs which are left out because Guy has something against them. But of course that doesn't mean I dislike him because i obviously like all of them ! And I wish he would talk more in interviews...

My favorite member is Chris (with Jonny coming in second), because he is the one who wrote all those lyrics that resonate so well with me and are so comforting in the way they talk about the melancholy and the insecurities of life while always having this spark of hope somewhere. I feel that especially the young Chris must have had a truly beautiful mind (admittedly, I can relate less well to his mind nowadays, but of course i do like the love and kindness theme of more recent albums too); I can understand so well the way he sees the world in the earlier albums. He also arguably has the most beautiful voice in contemporary pop/rock music and is a great, great writer of melodies. (In case anyone wants to know, my least favorite member is Guy...don't kill me :D)

OK in all honesty, I know that some people felt uncomfortable about me questioning the *in my opinion* advertisement-like style of the Coldplaying article, earlier in this thread. In response to the post from Atlas2000 that said we should be grateful for ads because they keep the forum running: I never ever said anything against ads, I am aware of their importance in making it possible to pay the costs for running the forums etc., what I was wondering about aloud was only if this was an ad disguised as an article (which I would find a bit worrysome, to be honest). I subsequently read the response from Stephen saying that B&N did not ask to write that article. So I thought the matter was resolved. But to completely delete my post and the replies to that post is a bit of an overreaction, imho. The post was neither offensive nor rude, and I am not aware of it going against any forum rules. I love this forum, and so it is somewhat disenchanting to see a post deleted just because it had a bit of a critical, or shall I say, "uncomfortable" edge to it... :( (Now I wonder if this post will be deleted too....)
