Yeah, I know I need to buy a new cable, I found out that's where the problem lies. So annoying. I don't wanna invest too much b/c it will have the American plug configuration if I buy it here, meaning it's gonna be pretty useless when I return to Europe and I'll need another one there.... Today I managed to get my old charger working by twisting the cable in the weirdest ways. It is a very, very loose contact. I currently have it plugged under maximum tension (using my speakers to extend it across the desk) and it works, but if I accidentally move it by millimatres it stops working. I guess that's how I'll keep going for the moment.....

You know what, all this Beyonce and BM hype and arrogance is annoying me a little bit. If you like those two, you should better not read the rest of this post. It may be a harsh opinion, but it is my opinion. For me, acts like these represent the most shallow, commercial and stupid part of the current music business. As much as I don't like Coldplay's recent direction they are still far away from being that superficial and they are a lot more decent and humble than these self-styled pop kings and queens who either need scantily clad women dancing around them or can only sell their music by stripping off themselves in their music videos and stage performances. In other words, Coldplay are miles better and more sophisticated than these acts, even in their most ape-incarnating moments. Apparently too sophisticated, and too sincere and earnest for all those people complaining that it's not gonna be a real half-time show because they are "lame" and who really believe only the likes of Bey or BM can save it. I don't know how it's in other countries, but most of America seems to think that way and its plain annoying. I've been considering exceptionally wearing a Coldplay button on SuperBowl Sunday... for since yesterday I am the proud owner of my very first Coldplay button, thanks to @iamsue !!! (but that's another story and I will soon post it in the Santa thread) :)

This and Where Is My Boy are very good even though they are technically not Coldplay songs ! Especially the vocals in WIMB are so haunting, tense, desperate,.... Sad that his voice is no longer that good. Age.....and the strain of multiple 100+ concert world tours....

Let's just hope he doesn't accidentally cause a wardrobe malfunction with Beyonce or something :D (or apologize and deprecate himself any further, really....)

If they really do not play HFTW, it may not be the wisest decision in terms of commercial success, BUT the best decision they could make in terms of artisitic integrity. HFTW is not a song that represents Coldplay and what this band stands as much as some of their classic hits. Clocks is Coldplay, Fix You is Coldplay, Viva La Vida is Coldplay...that's the caliber of songs they have to stick to if it's really "an entire career in 12(9.5) mins".

First I was pleased to hear that HFTW is not in (cause I thought that would leave room for one more Coldplay "classic") but now it seems like Bey and Bruno are gonna take up this time... :( So 9.5 mins only ? wow.

Can't believe you're gone... :( About the See You Soon lyrics or the early lyrics in general - I think they often reflected a sensitive and vulnerable mind loaded with early Twenties-insecurity about life and the future, and all of this expressed quite poetically. I really miss this kind of lyrics.
