Woohooo ! Agatha Christie rocks, and glad to see someone who likes her too ! :D I was always a bit reluctant about the PC games because I thought they might be boring since I read the books already and no who murdered whom and why....(although it has already happened to me that I forgot it altogether ! I read most of her books during my early teens, so a looong time ago. Unfortunately I don't have much time for reading these days... :() Haven't kept track either and since I now also recently saw the entire Poirot series on TV, I often really can't tell whether i read a particular one ! Although I find Poirot's cases better, Miss Marple is my favorite detective. And you ?
  2. It says it's due to close on the very day itself (Feb 6) only, that's why I was a bit worried
  3. Well several times when I or other "Oldplayers" posted comments that were negative on Coldplay's recent output in areas like the LP7 thread, a bunch of people told us off for not liking the band, told us to go somewhere else, asked why were even on the Coldplaying forum if we don't like Coldplay, called ous "music nazis" and stuff like that....I can remember one particular bad instance when an Oldplayer (I think it was @nvdmm) got "followed" into the Oldplaying thread by some posters who mocked his opinions. I know there have been transgressions from both sides and it's very sad to see. Make no mistake, I condemn rude and offensive transgressions regardless which side they came from. I think we should discuss freely as long as the discussion remains at best friendly, at the very least civil.
  4. Cool idea, but no :D
  5. I don't have anything against love, love is a great thing and it should be the world's topmost princicple. Love does not equal God for me because I don't believe in God. But look, I'm NOT gonna get into a God debate here cause I know it could get harsh and offensive pretty quickly. That's why I will not write out my personal arguments against the existence of God here. I know some people believe and I respect that and some people don't believe and I'm one of them and I hope this is respected. I know it's Coldplay's own decision how religious they are so I am just saying I personally do not resonate with it, I'm not saying they don't have the right to do so because clearly they do. And by the way, I am very, very awestruck by nature and the universe and all things living and the beauty of it, too (probably one of the reasons why Speed Of Sound resonates so much with me; even though it has a slight religious subtext as in "some are made and some are sent" etc but I don't mind) - but I marvel at it in a very non-religious way. I can only tell you that seeing these things in a non-religious way does not diminish its beauty at all ! :)
  6. since they are wasting away their lives in front of the TV every day I bet they are gonna watch the SB too, BUT... 1. that's not really the company you'd want 2. wouldn't it be weird if I sat there with my notebook on my knees typing frantically into a thread while watching it ? :D
  7. Ah, this wonderful thread. Been a while since I been her. But I wanna be more active here again and less active in the rest of the forum. I got something to explain to you guys but more of that tomorrow, maybe.
  8. Oh yeah, well...my internet is not so quick so I bet the stream will be very crappy. Think I have to watch it outside or at least on the TV, but I only have a shared TV... :)
  9. I thought it was God is Love, not vice versa, which seems pretty religious to me. I'd find it easier to agree with Love is God. But well, in the end this tattoo is a circle, and God used to be Gwyneth :D Chris is really Christian, I think
  10. And in the end, when you finally follow him, this action can be part of the cure.
  11. Lovely thread, let's rise it from the ashes after almost 13 years ! So guess my favorite Coldplay song ! (well, in my case it is very obvious I think :D)
  12. Oh yeah ? I feel equally unsafe to say I don't like something about current Coldplay....
  13. LOL http://www.bloomberg.com/gadfly/articles/2016-01-04/exxon-mobil-there-are-better-oil-stocks-for-2016
  14. It was a great riddle ! I give credit to @Jedi Leo for it was his guess (and you saying it was in the right direction) that brought me on the right track.... Let me think of a new one...
  15. It's only 4 days to go so I think maybe we should fix the date soon and get word out.... :)
  16. So...that was the correct answer ?
  17. Mooie Ellebogen ?
  18. I ran away replied to Rain's topic in The Lounge
OMG I am a huge Agathat Christie fan ! Never played a game though. Read lots of her books - the ABC murder is really a great one, did you read it ?
  19. HFTW because Coldplay is written in Hindi at the end ?
  20. But the song that contains Clue 2 is not the answer, is it ?
  21. You don't understand them but I do could refer to Talk "they're speaking in a language I don't speak"
  22. Well but "positive comments make people happy" is not really a valid argument for me. Things should be discussed; this is what a forum is for. Praise for Coldplay or how people absolutely adore their newest songs is to be read over and over and over again, and yet nobody ever complains about it (which is right - but it's okay to voice opinions in both directions). Fandom does not mean being uncritical, it means seeing the good sides and the bad sides and still caring about the band and appreciating their role in your life.
  23. Dunno, I have the feeling it's more that most people still consider Coldplay too dull to be headlining SB50, and see Beyonce as the real big thing here...
  24. Discussions develop, this is not the only Coldplay-related opinion that is reiterated in similar discussions. All kinds of Coldplay comments made are often redundant here and that is normal (and totally legit) cause this forum is entirely devoted to everything about this band. I feel it is often spefically Oldplayers being targeted for their comments... :-/
  25. So it's okay not to like the new Coldplay, but it's not okay to write that opinion here ?
