1. Ah I see. Didn't know that! I think I just made a guess based on ASFOS being the "upbeat" track of the album haha. But my edit is still here if anyone is interested though.
2. Hey I made a quick remaster of The Race and mashed it up with the outro of Oceans (if anyone wanted an idea of where it could be on the GS tracklisting). Anyone interested in listening?
3. I have returned my fellow Coldplayers, good to see you all again! Hope you're as hyped for this era as I am :''))
4. Hey guys, I’ll get the mixtape done by tonight. I live in PST tho! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
5. Hey guys, haven't been on the forums in a good while. Its nice to see this thread still being active. Hope some of you haven't forgotten about me lol. So user @arushofjacktothehead recently restarted an old series of his a while back called "Mixtape Exchange". To sum it up in one sentence, it consists of essentially curating a mix of some songs that you like (from any artist) and exchanging it with another participating Coldplayer. If any of you guys are interested, do check out this thread: https://coldplaying.com/forum/index.php?threads/mixtape-exchange-20-reviews-tracklists.114522/ Honestly, it'd be great if we could get this going because it sounds really fun and interesting!!
6. 8/10 that song hd a really cool baroque and new wave vibe it it. I dig!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
7. Rest in Peace Avicii. I loved the days of waiting for True Believer and Heaven to come out, so much nostalgia from his music. With that said, Heaven will be the most appropriate goodbye single. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
8. Hey guys, why don’t we bring this thread back from the dead???? 6/10 - not bad for a laid back rock tune. But is it just me, or does the verses sound a lot like Demons by Imagine Dragons? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
9. Thanks!! Glad you really liked it! I am kinda going for more of that dreamy but dancelike kind of vibe in my style. I especially like the way you compared it as “taking something old and making it new again”. Nice way of putting it. Again, thanks for listening! :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
10. Hey guys, so I just released another song of mine. Not sure if any of you remember, but I also shared my first track on here and some of you guys seemed to like it. Mobile Link: https://soundcloud.com/tatremymusic/kaskades Plzz check it out and lemme know what you think! [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
11. Okay okay, all of you guys need to go on iTunes right now and look up Revamp: The Songs of Elton John & Bernie Taupin. Coldplay covered Elton John’s song “We All Fall in Love Sometimes”. Its not out yet, buut it’s available for preview. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12. Just made a nice discovery. Its the Jai Wolf remix of SJLT. I think you guys will like it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
13. Heard this on Alt Nation the other day, thought it was a recently released song but I looked it up and it's actually from over a decade ago! Wow. A sound that's so ahead of it's time. It's not unimaginable that Coldplay might be heading this direction next with their music, that'd be great! Love these guys. They just released an album a few weeks that is my AOTY so far! Check out more of them, they’ve got great psychedelic synthpop vibes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
14. The way he introduces himself cracks me up haha. “Hi Im the bass player from Coldplay....obviously” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
15. Do you care for the truth if you’re not entertained? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
16. There’s this dude I know in real life and he just released a single that I’ve been enjoying the hell out of in the past few days. Check it out! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
17.
If you enjoy hard hitting, strictly electronic vibes for the most part, you'll like it. Expect melody here and there, but not a lot. Focus on the originality of the production, and it might be a bit more appealing to think that it's an album that took a bit of effort at least, to come up with a new sound by merging some influences that already existed and trying to come up with something new. Whether you like it or not, IMO it's an effort by Taylor Swift anyway to bring some originality to the table in terms of the music industry and the charts. Not many better than her to do it, since she's already famous and has had numerous Top 40 singles. It's definitely a very unique album, but you might not think it to be that great.... To be honest a lot of the songs didn't impress me all that much besides the already released radio singles. It definitely all has a very cohesive, creative sound though. Nice to see her experimenting with different styles as she's done in this album with the harsher electronic overtones present. It's not for everyone though. Just like with all original/experimental music (here, experimental/industrial/trap electropop for the most part) it's simply something new she's trying and I'm sure she knows it won't be well recieved by everyone, as any might be. Although a lot of people might end up liking the sound, lots might not. It's hard to tell, that's simply the way experimental music works... And, I don't blame you. Don't be pressured to come up with an extensive response just because I did. I did it to you, so it's fine you did it to me. I don't mind. I went into more detail here (again) just because I felt like it, I'm trying to keep my responses a bit more limited so I don't end up going on a huge off topic rant about music mainly but oh well. I think it's been working in my recent posts. Hopefully I don't get too off topic as I'm starting to do as I type right now... maybe I should just stop here. Lol Niceeee, not expecting someone'd actually know her on the forums but I guess I should have expected you (and if I had to choose anyone who I think'd know about Grimes it'd probably be you, seeing as you like this type of music in general, unique and creative). Totally agree. Just found her, will have to listen to more of her music! (Side note: Why do I always keep referring to "Grimes" as "them" or "their"? I know you never seen it but I keep doing it, and then going back and realizing she's a solo artist, and as you've mentioned, one of the most solo out there as she does nearly everything. So I have to keep editing it lol so I don't look like I don't know what I'm talking about) And your edit of Birds is very well done, I enjoyed it. Liked the idea of the mashup. Great version of Birds! Liked it. (Lorde is, by the way, also fairly good IMO, at least from what I've heard, I've listened to a few of her songs and she sounds decent, will have to listen to more though. I do remember her being featured on one of Disclosure's tracks, Magnets, only knowing that since Jon Hopkins did a fire remix of it. Really enjoyed that) Ah thanks! and yeah, I don’t think many coldplay fans like Grimes as well since she’s both underrated and very different from the band. Also, there’s a music genre called “grime”, so maybe you think its a “them” because it sounds plural haha. Lorde is the best pop artist in the game right now IMO. Definitely check out more of her. 18. U sure? Mathematically its supposed to work. Both songs are in the key of c major and there isnt any accidentals. Perhaps its the timing of the vocals? If so, that is an easy fix. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
19. So I recently made a mashup of Birds and The Louvre by Lorde. Would be great if you guys could check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGjx3n-7a8I Mobile Link: https://youtu.be/FGjx3n-7a8I Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
20. I LOVE GRIMES! Very diverse and well produced art pop. She’s extremely talented and writes, records, and produces all of her music in addition to doing all of her artwork and directing all her videos. Not many take up the responsibility of doing so much of her own art, but more should. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
21. Wow thank you so much for that, glad you enjoyed it!! I was definitely going for a melodic chill vibe that slowly grew into a trance/dance track. You should start! Its never too late. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
22. Inho I never thought it would receive this kind of reputation. Im really glad that my music does that for you. Thanks for listening. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
23. HOLY! THANK YOU! Glad you enjoyed it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
