La mia opinione è che quando provo ad ascoltalo per intero arrivo fino a Fun, da Kaleidoscope in poi mi dà i nervi (ah lo skip automatico è anche per Hymn For The Weekend ovviamente, mentre Adventure Of A Lifetime la ascolto solo se sono particolarmente di buon umore, cioè quasi mai). Quindi in sostanza tutto si riduce a A Head Full Of Dreams, Birds, Everglow e Fun: 1) la prima soffre dello stesso complesso di Paradise, lasciata incompleta a metà e sul più bello, piazzandoci uno di quei cori piacioni e pacchiani che tanto ama il nostro Chris. Occasione sprecata. 2) Birds è un buon pezzo, l'unico con un arrangiamento vagamente ricercato e con un sentore un po' indie pop misto Arcade Fire e Phoenix su salsa Cure, tutta gente apprezzabile insomma. 3) Everglow soffre un po' di ripetitività, ha i soliti 4 accordi che senti in 24352352353 canzoni, ma almeno è coldplayiana e la ricollego solo a loro, l'unica o quasi con un po' di anima. 4) Fun mi cattura soprattutto perchè quel buongustaio di Jonny ci piazza un gran riff all'inizio carico di delay e reverb liquido da dreampop. Chris si perde un po' nel trascinare le note, ma il duetto stranamente funziona (ma non mi spinge a cercare cosa faccia nella vita sta Tove Lo). Peccato anche qui per il finale rovinato da ululati fuori posto, ma è un esperimento riuscito. Il resto va dal mediocre (Amazing Day, Up&Up, Army Of One) allo scadente (Adventure Of A Lifetime, Colour Spectrum) passando per l'insulto vero e proprio (Hymn For The Weekend, X Marks The Spot, Kaleidoscope)

I attended a CP concert for the first time in 2012 during the MX tour. Despite some songs I disliked, it was such an experience: they're very good live and they always play a few "hidden pearls" (in my case there were Warning Sign and Speed Of Sound)
