  1. Already did with Chinese Sleep Chant and it's among their absolute best songs I'm not expecting anything left from them anymore, my only hope is they will learn the lesson from all the angst and shitty reviews they got with MOTS. Let's hope they will start acting their age and live their present time without being so childish and generic. Please guys, do not repeat yourselves and push yourselves to the limit of your creativity until the end, you did it well recently with Everyday Life and Coloratura
  2. All this hatred from critics was heavily predictable since the end of the EL era and the first hints about the direction they were taking with MOTS. And, to be honest, I strongly agree that this is by far the most disappointing effort they could ever perform
  3. Brilliant Coloratura Great Human Heart Good Higher Power Eh Let Somebody Go Infinity Sign Humankind MOTS Alien Choir What? My Universe People Of The Pride Biutyful MOTS II
  4. ASFOS was more "house-y" than Infinity Sign
  5. I need to give it another proper listen, but for now I can say that Biutyful and People Of The Pride are the worst ones for me. My favourites remain Coloratura, Human Heart and Higher Power
  6. My prediction on the base setlist
  7. I still wait for the studio version to judge it, they ruined some decent songs with the production through the years, starting from the MX era (I'm thinking of Hurts Like Heaven and Up&Up for example). From the snippet in Overtura it seems like a rip-off of Uprising, so that's why I'm waiting the release of the album before saying anything about it
  8. Humankind is basically Fun (feat. Tove Lo) part 2
  9. It's intended to be that way, a little dissonant but organic
  10. they already peaked in production when they put together Brian Eno and Jon Hopkins
  11. Complaining with the guys for performing such a sellout nowadays is really out of place, they started selling out 11 years ago with MX, the only thing left is to appreciate the proper good songs they release once in a while when they remember who they were before the worst. We knew from the beginning what was the purpose for My Universe, and it was not artistically related. At least I can say that imho there are far worse songs in their catalogue (Princess Of China, A Sky Full Of Stars, Miracles, Something Just Like This, Hymn For The Weekend, X Marks The Spot, Orphans)

  13. Death And All His Friends vs Careful Where You Stand
  14. we had to go through 10 years of disappointments to have this one, just to know that they can still properly play and compose quality music. It's a pity that this one (and maybe Human Heart) will be the only song(s) to look for on this era
  15. Cyclades - Keep Shelly In Athens
  16. live version of Everyday Life (the song) is just too good
  17. The more I listen to it, the more it grows on me. It's the perfect photography of the actual world, it's like they've been on "sugar planet" for 10 years and then came back to Earth. It's not only a proper return to form, it's not only artistically relevant and inspired, it's a development and nearly a miracle. It came out of nowhere, in the worst part of their career, when all the faith in them and hope were completely lost. It's cohesive, mature, self-conscious, mystical, open-minded, and (most of all) universal. They are the band who made pop music universal again. You can relate to this album in every part of the planet, whatever is your language and your culture. It makes you feel like we have all something to share together and to be part of, in times when we are all scared and separated individuals, like a fish who is swimming upstream when everyone else is letting himself go with the current. Welcome back guys.
  18. Listened to it: good but kinda forgettable imho. Not enough relevant to be included in the album, but it's not bad
  19. Dear @I ran away, I really appreciate your courage to speak about it, I'm not even close to be a doctor but I think and hope that just doing it in public could be a good way to ease the pain and get a speedy (relatively speaking) recover, along with everything your therapy prescribes. It saddens me to hear this from you just after my return here on CPing, you have always been one of the most well-known and beautiful voices here and I know that life could be very tough at times, but I couldn't see it coming. In my life I've been lucky enough not to suffer of this kind of illnesses, so I can't understand your situation fully, but if there is something I'm certain is that music can always help to get everything better. I always cope with the feeling my life sucks and music literally saves me everyday, and I think I'm not the only one who thinks that. So this passion led me to discover such a huge amount of different music that I can't think about something that could be useful for you, but you can discover it by yourself. Music could and should be part of your recovery strategy, we all need you at the best, and YOU deserve to feel better than this, for the person you are. I can do so little for you from here, but just think that I've been away from CPing for ages and I have never forgotten about our great conversations together with other great people round here, so this means that you left something good in someone you've never met, and you can do it also with people you meet everyday or you're about to meet in your life. ...and also think about how many times I used the words "everyday" and "life" in this post, maybe in our darkest times we shouldn't be afraid to walk in the dark and let us be guided by a friendly voice like Chris' one. Maybe you don't know it, but this coincidence between the atmosphere of this LP and your situation could be good for you. My thoughts and hopes are obviously with @Famous Old Painter too, hope everything will be fine for you and your partner. This is not a CP song, but the title and the lyrics are my wish for you my friends, hope that one day you can say "as I finally leave the dark"
  20. They're all in my signature :D
  21. Because Chris mental health in 2011 was clearly badly influenced by his ending relationship with Gwyneth and stress led to "different points of view about the direction the band should have been taking"
  22. My dream is always the same since 2008: Credits Producer: Jon Hopkins
