  1. How much Coldplay should be collaborating with people like Eddie Vedder and Beck and not Stargate and Beyonce. After this album, I say they make a different new album altogether based on the sound and tone of Chris & Eddie's performance last night. And one side should be that, the other should be a more ambient side. So think of it Piano-Guitar Unplugged/Ambient I'd love that so much:)
  2. The year of 2015, London, underground alternative performances, colours, late night and day, Treefingers No More Keeping My Feet On The Ground
  3. VLV Live is awesome. Anyways, I'm listening to the greatest bands in the world, considering Spotify have added back both Coldplay's & Radiohead's B Sides, I'm listening to both Sleeping Sun from the X&Y era and soon I'll be listening to Lozenge Of Love from The Bends Era. Gotta love CP & RH:)
  4. Same. TBH I would oovoo a friend now but it's probably too late to even bother. Oh well, I'm waiting Chris and Eddie. *puts Pearl Jam's Vs. on music player*
  5. Cool! It's 01:11 over in the UK BTW. Getting late now, about to zzzzz after this performance.
  6. I adored Cat Stevens performance. I'm putting this out there right now. I really don't like hip-hop. It's not my cup of tea. And unlike others I'm not a fan of Lamar's. But at least it will be better than Rihanna, who for some baffling reason is the headliner instead of Pearl Jam or Coldplay. I wish Radiohead played here, it would fit well with Yorke's charity work, and it's all for good cause.
  7. Hmm. I didn't know that. Well, Lars or Kirk is my favourite out of Metallica anyways. You did hear Lars at the end right? He supports this COMPLETELY. And plus, that isn't going to stop my love for one of the most diverse and unique thrash metal bands of our time. At least Trent Reznor COMPLETELY disapproves of that idea of torture when NIN was supposed to be used. He's a legend. If anything, play the current CRAP top 40 and that's torture. Not Metallica or NIN or Coldplay. These are REAL bands. But FUCK torture. Tonight and all nights are about being together and helping one another. And these REAL bands I'm going on about make gorgeous and epic music, which is all AGAINST violence.
  8. Holy shit Metallica just killed it. No competition whatsoever, best of the night so far. The crowd was really enthralled and knew every word (like me back at home) and I could predict when Kirk was about to solo with his wahwah like crazy. Well I'm off to watch the Rock Critic's new episode of Album Review on YouTube before Chris and Eddie come on and blow me away too. I also can't wait for Cat Stevens. The rest to me though is bland plastic mediocrity. But that doesn't matter. No matter who you do and don't like, please help support this organisation.
  9. 2002 The year of 2002 begins. The band are exhausted after their long-lasting Parachutes world tour, and begin to start work on their next album, 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head'. Before recording, Buckland is persuaded to STOP playing Jazz, to avoid any such influence of that genre being put into the record. This album is set to become a 13 track long record, with influences ranging from long influence Radiohead, Echo & The Bunnymen and The Smiths. In spring of this year, Martin announced the two lead singles which would both be released on the same day, the ambitious 'I Ran Away' and the slightly nostalgic sounding 'A View From The Top'. Needless to say, it was a great idea to release them both on the same day. It not only got both tracks to number one and two in the charts respectively, but also earned the group their first Brit nomination, competing in the 'Best British Single' catorgry, alongside Muse with 'Bliss' and Radiohead with 'I Might Be Wrong'. The band then released their long-awaited second effort on the 26th August. It was highly acclaimed by both critics, fans and casual listeners. Some compared it to being 'piano-rock with an ambient flavour' and 'Radiohead's little brother'. In fact, it was so well received that Pitchfork Media, a long time dismisser of Coldplay had given them the highest score of that year, a 9.5/10. People began calling it the best thing about the second year of the new milenium. Other singles which were released in 2002 were 'In My Place', the ballad 'The Scientist', 'Clocks' (which earned them a Grammy nomination), 'Politik' (in which Matt Bellamy of Muse helped write) and 'God Put A Smile Upon Your Face', which was a folk-rock/alternative rock track inspired by PJ Harvey. In the Winter, Martin recieved a call from electronic artist and producer Moby and one of his idols, Thom Yorke. They ask him whether they want help with the third effort that would follow AROBTTH. Martin is thrilled and immedietely tells Buckland, Berryman and Champion. On the 28th December, they began their new AROBTTH world tour, which would last for '2 years straight', Martin said in a press conference. On the 29th December, just before the new year, Coldplay also began filming the new music video for 'I Ran Away', and a week later, the 'entirely backwards' 'The Scientist' video. 11. 4.5/10 don't like Kodaline at all, but that song is listenable without cringing I guess. now time for another song:
  12. For cringiness nothing beats: When I was younger I used to go and tip cows for fun, yeah Actually I didn't do that 'Cos I didn't want the cow to be sad But some of my friends did They were all just a little bit wicked They'd blow up mail boxes With a baseball bat Go for direct hits On Halloween you can forget it They throw rotten eggs into traffic Toilet paper the fences Throw the tables, chairs, and the benches After practice Sometimes we would break into mad fits Causin' damage (Burnin' amplifiers and mic stands) Everybody get dangerous Everybody get dangerous (Boo yah!) Everybody get dangerous Everybody get dangerous (Boo yah!) Everybody get dangerous Everybody get dangerous (Boo yah!) Everybody get dangerous Everybody get dangerous WHY RIVERS. WHYYY:laugh3:
  13. AHFOD is STILL the reason I don't care for new COLDPLAY. The songs have good instrumentation but TOO over-layered and too clean. When I even prefer the new BMTH album to it, you know you have a shite pile on your hands. And the lyrics, except AHFOD and *brace yourselves* Army Of One (you knew I disliked it, but it's not the worst on the album anymore!) the others are just too cliche for my liking Coldplay. Seriously, if Chris and co don't go back to their roots next time, I'll give them up. But that's not to say that the early days weren't great. No. The early days were glorious, just like how Weezer's were. Luckily we got gem after gem, as Weezer only did that twice with Blue and Pinkerton. And I even adored the Newplay albums Mylo and GS. They weren't over produced, only one collab really and all related a lot more to me than this mainstream garbage they're trying to fit in with nowadays. I hate long rants like these, but this year would be a lot better if Newplay could just track back to 2005. To X&Y. To 2002. To my favourite album of all time (along with OK Computer by my other favourite band, Radiohead), A Rush Of Blood To The Head. Even to 2000. To the mellow Parachutes and on to 2009 for Viva. I hate seeing one of my favourite bands in the same catorgries as abominations like Beyoncé, Zara Larsson, Drake, One Direction and JB. My answer is that AHFOD is by FAR their worst, and hopefully the worst we'll ever get from them. Please come home Coldplay. Lights will guide you home.
  14. HOLY SHIT. Well what can I say, I've spent ages away from Coldplaying and I'm extremely impressed. The new video showcases what AHFOD (the album) SHOULD have been in the first place. Rocking, crowd chanting disco rock. And the guys on the bikes is such a good idea, and the bit where they just randomly find a stadium and ride onto the stage is amazing. This is the REAL Coldplay.
  15. I wish I had some friends like that. 8/10 soothing, relaxing, watery and beautifully crafted. ^ I just love the energy and edginess of this VERY quick one.
  16. 9/10 EPIC ARTISTS. Love their ambient and reflective style.
  17. Beach House- Space Song... 8.5/10 BEAUTIFUL. I loved this song beforehand from last year:)
  18. 2/10 Don't like them and don't get the hype except a certain single. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKbVryoXafw Mobile Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKbVryoXafw
  19. New album came out today, this indie rock band was killed in a tragic accident earlier this year. They've released their self titled debut today and certainly worth a listen. If you've got it already, which is your favourite track? I personally am loving this album so far.
