These lyrics are some of my favorite of all time. The way this song was created, how CM came up wit hthe idea is so heartbreaking. :(

The way that Chris Martin sings this part is excellent. One of my favorite lyrics and vocals.

Then the outro... this part is so freaking powerful! Coldplay in these days man. Truly perfect.

It's so funny, beacuse this song has so many different patterns, and they just somehow manage to all blend them together. It's impossible to notice all the patterns at one time, althought it helps hearing all the layers if you turn it up. Such an amazing song in terms of instrumentation.

Hear that acoustic guitar? Buried under everything? It's crazy how much layers theu put in.

This song has a ton of layers. There's a ton of different patterns, and do you even hear those tiny crash cymbals in the background? Crazy right?

This is also one of my favorites off X&Y. This track for me is a great example of showing how even in Coldplay's older days, their sound kept getting bigger and bigger. This song... does anyone notice the acoustic guitar playing? It's in the background, and it's very quiet and buried, but it's there...

This intro of White Shadows. That guitar tho. That bass tho. That drumming tho. That everything tho.

And now the final lead-up...... then we all let go... and dropping into White Shadows!

Then the song changes a little bit here.... I definetely love all these little things they do in the background to everything to make the song more interesting. This part is a little repetitive for me, because he's saying the same thing over and over again. But the background decisions to change it up definetely help.

I love every part of this song it seems :)

This intro is so moving... this song is a true masterpiece.

The first time I heard this, it was in a video with other tracks from other albums, and this became my favorite song. It isn't now, but I am estimating this to be at least in my top 25 Coldplay songs.

Top 4 track for me in X&Y.... What If!

This song is so well put together... the beginning was amazing, but these little desicions to end quiet like these are smart. I like how this track just fades and fades into the acoustic guitar piece.... the outro of this song is very beautiful. :)

Same! Good you made it in just the last minute @alisbe! :D I find you really have to turn up X&Y songs to hear all the layers... just turned it up and it sounds MUCH better. This is definetely a track that's meant to be listened to at a higher volume. :)

These lyrics are so... powerful. For a track like this it's perfectly fitting. One of my favorites off X&Y... then again, quite a few tracks fit in that category :D
