Top 15 for me. Absolutely wonderful!

Wow... :( That track must have really actually sucked. Also, found this quote in the article: "Martin also revealed he keeps up with latest dance trends, saying he is "not sure if I can whip, but I can nae nae with the best of them." Please don't tell me he actually likes that song. Where'd he go?? I mean, I can appreciate Coldplay's latest offerings, However, I find them uncomparable to Coldplay like AROBTTH. Politik and The Scientist is something that they won't ever make again. "Give me love over, love over, love over thisss...." Hopefully if they go on hiatus they might get their mind refreshed and they'll start to appreciate good music again, but I don't think that's happening again. Unless a miracle happens. But nearly every song nowadays just has this feeling to it... it sounds hollow. What is it? Just not good like last songs!

Also. another thing: If She Comes Back isn't even an official name. That's the only point in time that piece of music which I'm listening to right now to see if there is anything noteworthy in it. It's one of those unnamed demo's. The recorder gave it it's name, just like Someone to Love and A View From The Top even. (BTW Im listening to it and it actually sounds really nice if you can hear past the static. That one piano part is very nice. But you have to ignore the static if you can. Someone to Love is worse, now that I think of it.)

Yes, perhaps it is the least-known Coldplay song of all. You know how A View From The Top is an unreleased song and got recorded with some potato at a sound check? Well there are two other unreleased songs that never became popular because they have even less quality than the more known one... Someone to Love and If She Comes Back were played at the sound test. I am very happy for the people who went there because they probably got to experience the song in all of it's glory. However I am very disappointed in the person who decided it would be fun to troll us all and record it with a potato :P Well at least it's better than nothing, If it weren't for them we wouldn't even know these songs existed and A View From The Top would be a forever lost masterpiece. At least that was the one that had a decent quality. The other two are mostly just static! You can only hear a guitar play something in Someone to Love, and I can't remember anything else since the static is so freaking loud (how can a mic be so terrible???) and I never bothered to listen to If She Comes Back because it's the same way. Too much static, only so much you can do with a potato recording. That being said, the reason I do have them on my phone is because I want to feel proud of myself that I'm getting the rarest songs from Coldplay ever on my phone, whether they're mostly static or not :P You can still hear a bit. It's just a pride thing. :P

I am not someone who'd easily cry. I can take a lot, surprisingly. That being said, Coldplay have a full two songs that make me do this! They are truly such an amazing band... If they can do this. Up With The Birds - Hands down best song by Coldplay. I don't know how to explain it. There simply cannot be anything that's more well crafted, touching, emotional, with a bit of happy and melancholy in a way. And the part where the soundscape explodes does it for me every time, where it drops off into the transition section. The ending from the "yeahhhhh" on will always be the best piece of music ever written. The piano outro I try not to think about when I'm talking about the song because it's that perfect, emotional, and touching. Tears always stream down my face at that point a ton. I could go on and on and on and on about how good this song is. I'd be really interested in how Coldplay came up with this one because it's just perfect. I don't know how someone could have such a musical mind to come up with a true masterpiece such as this gorgeous work of art. In fact, this song is so good that I don't even have it in my Favorites. I feel it is so special, touching, emotional, and perfect that is should be saved for either when your listening to Mylo or on very special occasions. Prospekt's March/Poppyfields - I would like to think of this as a more downbeat and melancholic version of Up With The Birds. The intro is very nice, and is a great way to open the song with a quiet acoustic guitar. But the real good part hits after "Drums. Here it comes..." It gives me a different feeling than Up With The Birds does. But it makes me cry, the overall feeling of that part with the background part and the lyrics are especially hard hitting in this one. Absolutely wonderful song, and as @I ran away said these have the saddest lyrics in Coldplay discography. Top 10 Coldplay song for me. There are a few others which make me slightly tear up. Such as The Scientist and Politik. But overall, these songs are wonderful. Great work Coldplay.

I totally agree with this. His riffs are some of the best guitar work out there. They're not super complex but they are extremely effective and fit the style of the song very well. They're also very memorable. He knows what kind of riff would suit a particular song. And that's what matters, just like your paraphrasing on the thing about drumming. He doesn't overdo anything. If your one of those guitarists that would throw a super complex all over the place riff on every single song you just don't get it, just like with drumming you have got to make your part work, if you know what I mean. And that sometimes means that you just leave it simple, maybe a few notes, but less is more in some cases; just do enough to give it the feel it needs to. The second you overcomplicate things is the second you make your part a distraction more than something that would aid the song. Simple as that. Completely agree with you. :)

I totally agree. Everyones all over AOAL. It isn't my favorite song although I do enjoy it and everyone has such a well written part and it all just works so well together! Very well-crafted song you have to admit, even if you aren't the biggest fan of it.
