  5. the last aussie game against croatia was at 5am so i had to put my alarm on at 4:30 am to get ready for it. hahaha the game before that for australia versus brazil was on at 3am. it's all between 11pm-5am. it's such a hassle, but damn, it's so exciting!

  8. oh so it's on monday? it's so confusing here with the times, because they say it's on "tuesday at 1am" so i get confused whether that means the monday night at 1am, or the tuesday night at 1am. so monday? okay cool thanks! but yes, i just want a good, exciting game :nice:
  9. and current prisoner testimony stands for nothing? :dozey:
  10. how lovely. thanks! :nice: this makes me more excited about the sydney concert on tuesday.
  11. we're going to beat your asses on tuesday :whip: :uhoh2: don't worry, i still love you italians. :nice: just don't beat us. okay? thanks. :) :laugh1:
  12. i would love that
  13. i don't think they will, but still i hope guus can surprise the world and bring aus to the quarters. he did it against the italians with south korea last world cup.
  14. :laugh1: hahaha poor guy.
  15. i feel sorry for poll now. however if australia didn't make it through as a result of his mistake i would have been incredibly pissed off. but none of the other officials realised aswell. i think they should be blamed too. to blame poll for everything is being too hard on the man. although australia should have had 2 more penalties. it should have been a free kick from that croatian guy touching the ball with his hand in the penalty box. and it wasn't an accident either. that was a CLEAR foul. beyond clear. it was ridiculous. but still. i feel sorry for him. :disappointed:
  16. aww they're such sweeties. i wonder what he'll say at the sydney concert on tuesday. they always know what to say to make the crowd hapy :nice:
  17. there's one thing --> called censorship. the government - ie bush and co, censor information. consequently, we as the public do not have an accurate portrayal of what is taking place behind closed doors. in 20 or so years, everything will be out, records will be released, files will be there for the general public to see. as a result, the world will realise what mistakes they made whilst they sat back and assumed all was well. if they are treated badly --> you will not know about it. do you think the government goes around saying "heeeeyyyy bushhy boy, let's release some photos of the gitmo prisoners!" :dozey:
  18. so you agree that someone should be held in guantanamo for several years without a single charge laid at all, or a trial? hm. so let's say you're shoved in guantanamo for 4 years, nik. no charge, no trial. and you're innocent. regardless of whether there is torture or horrid conditions at all, the fact that someone has to spend years in a cuban jail with no clue why the hell he's in there in the first place, is a violation of human rights in itself. add torture, horrid conditions, pscyhological as well as physical trauma, and you have one lovely mix of human rights violations right there, don't you.
  19. pictures say a thousand words. "Moazzam Begg, 36, who has been detained for 2 years without charge or trial..." being held up in detention for 2 years without a charge or trial? oh they're so lucky, they're not treated badly at allllll! :idea2:  "... remain held in effect in a legal black hole, many without access to any court, legal counsel or family visits" "Reports from the detainees and their lawyers suggest that many have been subjected to torture or other forms of ill-treatment in Guantánamo"
