  1. This is probably the cutest thing I have ever read.
  2. It's a lot of work to get right, but yes you do need a camera with a reasonably decent lens and the ability to override any automatic controls. Lots of compacts are just point and shoot. I'm passionate about Coldplay and really enjoy trying to get some good shots in at the concerts. They're a great memento, so of course it feels good to share with all of you as well who were there.
  3. The camera won't do it all for you! I'm only using a compact; albeit a decent fully adjustable one. Point the best camera in the world at a concert in automatic mode and you'll get garbage. Sorry for the mini rant :)
  4. Photos Here are my photos from the gig last night - I hope you like them!
  5. That's very cool. I was at the front barrier near the stage, but the stage was so high up from the ground that I didn't have as good a view as I expected. Chris did look and nod at me during ETIAW on his way past which was nice; he was doing similar things to others nearby as he walked past. Good performance overall, but they were late on and I wonder whether they had to cut a couple of tracks due to the 11pm curfew. It was really nice to hear Lovers in Japan and Speed of Sound. I feel like after this MX era, Coldplay should ease off on some of the effects such as the inflatable balls, the wristbands, and limit the ticker tape to just one song. Hopefully the colour palate will be less gaudy too .
  6. It's no problem! Hoping to get some more shots with my compact camera again.
  7. A very accurate weather source currently says the rain should be gone by 6pm, and that we might see a spot of evening sun. Would be nice!
  8. Anyone know a good nearby car park? Getting there fairly early.
  9. Thanks Tash! I'll still get there early afternoon I think, would be nice to be right at the front. Maybe see some of you there...
  10. Are they still letting people in early to help sort wristbands etc? Was wondering if I got there for about 12 or 1pm whether I'd get to help out.
  11. I am coming, and just today I've started getting excited. Especially at the thought of them playing Lovers In Japan, Speed of Sound, and DLIBYH. I'm also flattered that JakeAReynolds has a photo I took as his profile picture.
  12. You've done a great job with the site over the years, it was really helpful to me.
  13. Maybe it's because you have such a wide scope for collecting - I really didn't want EVERYTHING.... for starters, where would I put it?
  14. I forwarded it to you... but I just looked now and it's not in my sent items. Pff. On a different note, the Safety EP mentioned earlier went for £413...
  15. Actually it was on my profile comments
  16. He's PM'ed me instead ... allow me to forward it to you Evelien
  17. Thank you very much!
  18. Here's my collection so far if anyone's interested: LINK My collection is of UK/EU releases, so everything is on the Parlophone label. All original releases, so nothing from the 2007 boxset. I collect the "leading format" only, so if there was a digipak release I won't bother to collect the matching jewel case and cardsleeve releases. Digipak > Jewel Case > Cardsleeve.
  19. I'd be interested in a few of the items Evelien - do let me know if you're thinking of selling.
  20. Very nice. Do you try to collect every release ...ever?
  21. Thanks, it is - Royal Mail managed to bend the corner though.. even though it has two stiffeners and a huge "do not bend" notice on the front. Happens every time .
