LP6
Viva la Vida was a fantastic album with a brilliant art style which I wish could have carried on even longer. I must say I think MX as an album and with its accompanying artwork is needlessly garish. It's a good album with a few great tracks, but it's almost as if they designed it to appeal to kids and that disappoints me. I hope for LP6 they have a good break and move in a different direction, dropping the graffiti-style artworks.

Least favourite song from each album?
I think you just won some kind of internet award for that comment

Least favourite song from each album?
You shouldn't equate falsetto with 'wet'. And I love everything on Parachutes, so that was a really hard call! :-)

Another maverick... (apart from Lost plus).

A Rush Of Blood To the Head - 10th Anniversary - August 26, 2012
Ten years already. I remember I was on holiday in France, and bought the album there on the day of release. I couldn't wait, having been in the field watching their life-changing Glastonbury Pyramid Stage performance two months earlier. I put the record on and it just struck a chord - it will always hold a special place for me. Thanks to Coldplay

I know; they originally started coming from just one seller and I'm worried that they are just homemade fakes. Does anyone know anything more about them?

Wow. I'm sure we will see more, assuming it's genuine! It was a CD-R...

Not very much, less than €10 usually, as it was identically re-released. However, I belive the original issue of Brothers and Sisters states "NING68CD 01" on the inner ring of the CD itself (silver side).

We Never Change A Whisper Twisted Logic Yes Princess of China ...and I totally agree with Trey's sentiments above.

What is THE rarest Coldplay release?
Wow, I'd never seen an image of the pop-up edition before. I would love a copy, but if one ever comes up for sale I'm sure it will go for hundreds. You can certainly tell that Phil was playing with ideas for a pop-up edition of MX.

Yes it is, but I noticed some people on ebay are selling questionable looking "remix" CDr promos, so make sure it isn't one of those...

What would you do if you could spend one day with Chris, Jonny, Will & Guy?
I'd really love to meet them... I think to go for a glass of wine and a few good conversations. Sorry if that's tame. ...Then maybe to the zoo perhaps? Why not.

What is THE rarest Coldplay release?
I think the Christmas Lights popup is definately the rarest item, but it wasn't really released, just given to friends and family. The What If promo seems to be extremely rare, as well as the Don't Panic 12" vinyl and the Safety EP.

Well in the last 3 months or so I got the Don't Panic French, Danish, and Netherlands versions, as well as the Brothers and Sisters 7". Finally decided to get the MX pop up album too!

Coldplay when they're old.. o_o
They'll mean just as much to me when I'm old. I will always remember the fist time I saw them in 2002 at Glastonbury, and it was life changing. I and a woman (stranger) near me cought eyes at one point. Her one-second glance and smile seemed to express that we were both in a really special place, and acknowledged the magic and emotion in the air that night.

Coldplay photo press slide plate negative (Yellow French Single)
Unfortunately I think these are fake. One could easily take the source image jpeg, reverse the colours (and here convert it into black and white), and print it onto acetate. I think that is what has happened here. The image on the CD has been processed to increase contrast and lose the detail in the dark areas. A genuine negative of the original photograph would not contain any postproduction, and yet this negative contains the same low level of detail and artificially raised contrast as the final image. Edit: However, I can't be certain. But why would Parlophone / EMI ever send out 'promo' negatives of an image?

My friend who was at Sunderland had their light up on Thursday or Friday too. Looks like a two week delay!
