I completely agree - I've never seen prices so high for promos, and some of them are just CD-Rs! Though I would say that the MX promos are rarer than most of the older ones. I just refuse to pay that much for a Magic promo, I'm happy to wait until prices settle down.

This sounds wonderful, but how did you all find out about the 23rd March show? Really hoping they do some smaller shows in or near the UK, as I've never seen them in a small venue but have always wanted to.

Yes - there was no physical release of Moving to Mars, unfortunately. Therefore it's only available in lossy formats I think.

I am really looking forward to it. As someone said above, I hope they play some smaller venues as a warm up for an arena tour, but I'm not sure how realistic that is. I love that they seem to be a little more retrained this time after the excesses of MX, though that 2011 Summer before the album release was epic (Glastonbury performance.... :D )

I really like this song as an opener - it definitely has a Rush of Blood album feel to it, whilst also maintaining the relaxed pace and style of the new album. It has a great melody and a very Coldplay sound. I'm really pleased with it, but I do feel it could develop more instead of just ending.

I believe that 'Magic' is not quite dead-on what they should be doing: it's very 'clean' sounding, production-wise, and the lyrics are a little too simplistic. However, I think that this new more relaxed and understated sound generally bodes well for the upcoming album, which is bound to contain some interesting tracks. Coldplay have a history of releasing a leading single that is designed to be a 'taster' for the sound of the new album... but it's usually not the best track from it. Hopefully this is the case again!

First time I've ever seen one of those... I'm inclined to think it's real! It's been said that X&Y promos were sent out under 'The Fir Trees'.

Do you have the What If promo too? I found it in Belgium for an unbelievable price of 10 Euros. And no, they didn't have any more copies! I reckon if one came up on eBay it might sell for £200 - £300, it's so rare!

Well I'm certainly not rich - I just watch carefully, mostly on ebay. I have got good deals on most of those items, just by being careful and waiting patiently. It's the only way to do it. Everything in my collection is in excellent condition too! Sometimes I buy another item in better condition, and sell the old one. Maybe I'll get Safety one day. Ode to Deodorant I don't really count, and therefore am not bothered about - it's just a demo CD-R anyway, not 'official' - it's also impossible to tell if it was one of the ones Phil burned vs one of the fakes!
