  1. I know what you mean Penny! Panic at the disco :dozey:, right? ugh. not really into them. but I would love to experience Bloc Party live. Maybe if I can get a cheap GA floor ticket I will go....
  2. Awesome! I'm glad they are returning and you get to see them Danielle! I bet it's going to be a killer show. If I only I lived a bit further east.....but I think that's finals week for me. soo I can't wait for you and Tammy's report back!
  3. GOOOOO TIGERS!! YAY! I will be downtown watching the game a block from Comerica Park, I tried to get tickets but way too expensive. Might even watch for free by standing in the parking garage that can see in the stadium. This should be a great series!
  4. I thought this ep was going to be less interesting. But Locke's acid trip was awesome. The characters need to take more hallucinagens. lol. jk. I was really excited to see Boone back as a guest star. Thank God they found Echo. I have a feeling he is going to make things happen to get Kate, Sawyer and Jack back. Desmond better fine tune his psychic skills because his story is about to get very crazy. That reminds me..... His old fiance/gf/wife? had better be on her way to the island. ooooo this possibilites of this show!

Me too. I am just so surprised that ppl hate it so. It's just so brilliant. To hear it live in person would be a dream come true. I even would bring it up in a conversation with the band, ( when I meet them on the next tour *hopes*) asking how easily it came out when recording or who really pushed for it to be in cluded on the album. I would gladly kiss whoever a big hug for took credit.

  8. because I being lazy and not studying for my biochem exam I thought I'd join in on the fun..... physically in guy the arms have it. and personality, he has to make me laugh. When is the last time you wrote someone a note?
  9. Lover, You Should've Come Over is a phenomenal song...... just had to get that out. Thanks Mandy for the link!

Oh I myself would never call this a weak song, even compared to the whole album. It's repetition is very demanding and strong. A Whisper gets picked on because of its different sound.
  12. whoops I never got around to voting. But the results are great. Shiver and Amsterdam in the top 10 is good! However it is still apparent that A Whisper is not well liked. It is the lowest ranked song on a full length album. :( Boo Hoo I know. I should have voted if I wanted to make a difference.

Bump. I adore this song. Listening to it right now. Best bridge and lyrics in this part right here..... Night turns to day And I still have these questions Bridges will break Should I go forwards or backwards Night turns to day And I still get no answers ahhhhh I miss you CP. please come back soon!
  14. Thanks. It was insane. I mean I've lived my whole life with my Dad always a Tiger's fan and finally it's coming back. I love it! I gotta say I hope we do play the Cards. Because one of the games I was at in the summer, if I remember correctly, we beat them with a walkoff homerun. Not that it indicates anything but we have this cool stuffed tiger with a cardinal in its mouth and we made it especially to bring to the game. But to play the Mets would be fun as well. Shutting down both NY teams would be ideal. Either way, GOOOO TIGERS!
  15. A fiesta??? :sombrero: LOL. But for real I really want to be more familiar with Sufjan. Right now I really like "Romulus". It's so cool. I know all these cities! being a Michigander can be a good thing once in a while. :)

  19. Whooa. I'm just browsing Flickr and it looks like the show in Montreal was insane. ( search for them in most recent We Are Scientists tags.) Chris playing in just pink underwear? :o Lucky crowd.
  20. These guys were the best opening band I have seen yet! Sooo impressed. I was either dancing along or dying of laughter. Don't know any names in the band. But the lead singer was talking about apples during the set. Somehow someone had like a bag of apples in the audience and brought them onstage. I think it was during Oh MAndy that they said they would give the apples out to the best ppl in the crowd like a contest so there was the lead singer swinging the apple in his hand pretending to throw it to some one and just tease them but he did eventually throw 3 of them. But it was hilarious. Picture him playing the guitar and trying to throw out apples to crazed fans. hahaha. People went nuts! gosh I should have posted this sooner! I'm forgetting something I know it......
  21. Wow. It was exactly like you said Danielle. I've got WAS fever now! First off the Magic stick is like sooo tiny and soo fun. There is a bowling alley and restaurant, and the venue is upstairs. I decided I wasn';t going to go all out and get there hours ahead of time. especially since the Tigers were kicking ass down the street at Comerica Park. So I ate downstairs with my friends first and HOLY MOLY what did I SEE? Keith walking down the stairs and right past my table as I was chomping on some pizza. :stunned: It was a hot walk. Like a cat walk, and he was on his cell. I think the heavens called out to me. and the lighting was softened. OR maybe it was just the shock of seeing him 2.2 feet from me. He went out to the tour bus in front. But I decided not to approach because I was shaking in my boots. So upstairs we went..... saw the Spinto Band. They were hot, hot, hot performers ( i'll put something in their thread after this!) Saw Art Brut, they were incredible ( is there a thread for them??) Jasper is unbelievably gorgeous in person. He was all around the venue so I have a stalkerish pic of him. So while Art BRut's stuff was taken away, I immediately spotted all three WAS members over at the pool tables. :shocked2: and this was like5 minutes before they went on! Only like 3 ppl noticed, so I grabbed my friend and approached Keith. Well as I went to talk to him, he turned around and knocked over his beer that was on the floor. I thought I had, and said, "OHHHH SORRY! I hope I didn't do that!" Keith was like " Ya know what I think you did!" hahaha. I replied, "ohh well, can I still get pic?" He smiled and we took one. Then he said he had to go on right now. I still can't believe it. And I'm still sad that I didn't just lasso Micheal and Chris into the pic too because I didn't get a chance to talk to them. Next time? I was off to the side on kind of a platform with table and chairs, but I stood and danced and had perfect view while in awe the whole time. I have minimal pics overall. Sorry :( I just wanted to FEEL the music. The new songs were so good. I can't wait for the next album/single/dvd anything. Bang Bang rock and rolll with the boys in Spinto was a riot. They had like cardboard foam signs and were just crazy. And I just have to say that my friends who went with me, had no idea who any of these guys were and totally had the time of their lives. They loved every song and were really impressed. :D oh here's my one pic
  22. sorry I only had those two that I uploaded a page before..... But I would love to see your pictures, please. Live pictures make me want to do cartwheels! haha
  23. Kelli, how was the show??? can't wait to hear about it. Ok and you all get to hear my funny WAS story. So I have a class at 9:10 am this morning. Biochemistry ( wooo...NOT!) yeah so basically I sit there and don't understand much and nod off to sleep more than I should. BUT today, things were little different. About half way through the class, I was doing my usual light sleeping ( I set my head on my hand and cover my face with my hair to avoid the light....) suddenly I hear the opening chords to "Inaction" DADADADADADADADADAADA I'm thinking "sweet!" but oh no CRAP it's my phone, I forgot to silence it! The prof is really nice and usually just smiles and carries on. But no I was so taken back, especially since I was SLEEPING. and scrambled to find where I had put my phone in my backpack....." CALL ON THE FATES" not in the outside zippered pocket "WHILE I FALL ON MY FACE" umm omg where is it..... "LIKE EVERYONE ELSE" ahhhh found it, on the bottom of everything. He give me a semi-annoyed look and said, " oh we have a soundtrack here, eh?" :embarassed: hahaha oh well. I'm not embarressed from the ringtone just the fact that I got caught sleeping! And yessss, I see the guys on Friday in Detroit. :D:D:D
  24. and they win game 2! woooo gooooo tigers
  25. Yankees pitcher Corey Lidle in N.Y. plane crash; death toll lowered to 2 October 11, 2006 By COLLEEN LONG ASSOCIATED PRESS http://cmsimg.freep.com/apps/pbcsi.dll/bilde?Site=C4&Date=20061011&Category=NEWS99&ArtNo=61011027&Ref=AR&MaxW=233&Border=1 Smoke comes out of the Belaire high rise building at 524 E. 72nd St. after a small plane crashed into it on Manhattan's Upper East Side today. (Photo by Jennifer Helper/Getty Images (JENNIFER HELPER/AFP-Getty Images) A small plane with New York Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle aboard crashed into a 50-story condominium tower Wednesday on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, killing at least two people and raining flaming debris on sidewalks, authorities said. There was no immediate confirmation Lidle was among the dead. A law enforcement official in Washington, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Lidle was on the plane. And Federal Aviation Administration records showed the single-engine plane was registered to the athlete, who was a new pilot and had repeatedly assured reporters in recent days that flying was safe. The crash came just days after the Yankees’ humiliating elimination from the playoffs. The official said he did not know whether Lidle was at the controls; two people were aboard, and Lidle’s passport was found at the crash scene, the official said. The plane had issued a distress call before the crash, according to the official.
