1. Going to see the film in 4 hours now, hopefully we'll see some rare studio stuff!
2. Sorry to hear about that I Ran Away. Hope you feel better soon.
3. I think I might make an audio recording when I go see it a the theatre, to at least get some audio of the cinema version.
4. Nice! Is this the only recording we have of Such a Rush live? I always thought this video, that we saw a clip of in the South Bank Show doc (?) was from the first gig on January 16, and that's what the new clip says too. But, according to the photo of the first setlist from the same documentary, Such a Rush wasn't played, meaning this video can't actually be from the first gig. According to setlist.fm the only two gigs they played the song at were March 14 at the Laurel Tree and May 25 at Dingwalls. Maybe this video is from one of those shows? Edit: or maybe they just played it even though it wasn't on the setlist? Or SAR was played more often than is on setlist.fm? So many possibilites!
5. Anyone know if there's a way to hear the exclusive tracks other than on Amazon? I don't have a credit card so I can't sign up for the free trial.
6. I got my tickets last week but I just realised that it didn't let me reserve seats at all. Might have to line up for the best view...
7. Looks like there might be footage of the first gig in the film, going by the screenshots in the Q Magazine article. Hopefully we get something more than 15 seconds of So Sad!
8. Nice to see we're getting yet another (albeit incomplete) live show! I saw the Love In Tokyo shirts in the store when the Butterfly was announced and wondered what they were all about... I thought I missed something lol. Pretty bummed that it'll be Japan only though, hopefully we'll get some sort of digital download or something - my wallet does not like the sound of importing a CD all the way from Japan.
9. Well it looks like I'll have to find a bootleg for Life is Beautiful, I was holding out for an official release. Anyone know of the best version?
10. Hyped beyond belief that we’re getting not one but TWO full concerts. Does anyone know the track list for the DVD?
11. Not sure if anyone saw this but Debs Wild is making a book about Coldplay to tie in with the movie: Mobile Link: https://twitter.com/carltonbooks/status/1050769362251067397
12. As someone who doesn't have Amazon Prime and definitely won't be able to see the film in cinemas, I really hope it eventually gets a DVD release of some sort. And I'd also really like to see a separate release for those 3 live tracks.
13. Haven't posted in months but it's good to see that it's actually happening!
14. Just Chris at the piano it seems. Would've preferred a full band version, but it's better than nothing!
15. I'm thinking it might just be Chris at the piano, not actually Coldplay (sort of like 2000 Miles)
16. I actually really like all the songs in that final bracket except X Marks the Spot. Yes, even A Spell a Rebel Yell.
17. http://www.nme.com/news/music/mr-hudson-vic-mensa-coldplay-2168367 "New song 'Coldplay' reflects on 'the kind of day you play Coldplay' Mr Hudson has now teamed up with rapper Vic Mensa for ‘Coldplay’, a song in which he sings: “Wet hair on a cold day/The kind of day you play Coldplay/I don’t even like Coldplay/But today I need Coldplay”. Mensa, meanwhile, references Coldplay’s classic hit 'Yellow', rapping on the track: “I see your face in yellow every time I hear Coldplay”." Seems silly if you ask me.
18. I know, right? I keep wondering how they managed to get the CN Tower to do that. They usually only light it up different colours on holidays or things like that; I guess they figured a Coldplay concert was as important as a holiday, lol.
19. SJLT has been played at every show since it came out (I think); Hypnotised, Miracles (Someone Special), and AICTAIY have been played once each, and A L I E N S has never been played.
20. Am I allowed to put two? lol
21. Square One Politik Animals Murder Violet Hill Careful Where You Stand Bigger Stronger Yes High Speed Death and All His Friends
22. It's actually not on Apple Music, and there's nowhere you can buy it. But the good news is that is was originally released for free on the Coldplay website, and although it's not there anymore, it can be found easily online legally (since it was originally free).
23. I don't really know if it's about space on the CD, really - a CD can hold up to 1:20:00, but Live 2003 and 2012 are 1:07:27 and 1:06:42 respectively, so they could have fit at least a couple more songs (although Live 2003 had the CD-ROM section with photos, which might have taken up the rest of the space). Maybe they just decided some of the songs wouldn't work audio-only or made the album too long.
24. Where did you get the multi-color Xylobands? At the show I went to everyone just had the white ones.
