For some reason I think of how ALIENS came to be. Was probably an extra song in the VLV era, could've been meant to have been on Prospekt's March with piano and typical Viva flair. Then it got shifted into the MX Era, got revamped to the more electronic sound, but got lost in the shuffle of the GS Era. Re-emerged in the HFOD era and now we're here.

What's up with Car Kids? Some teased but unreleased song?

My favorite live version of Fix You is from their concert at Gillette Stadium last year. It was the first live concert of theirs I went to and it's special to me for that reason. It's not the greatest, but it's still a good performance IMO. Up next is The Scientist.

I've been listening to Daft Punk's Discovery album recently. A fine album if I do say so myself.

Aliens does sound like something that a late Eno/early MX era track could've sounded like. I think it's kind of overproduced in a way, but it's not terrible. Just meh in my opinion.

Can confirm, there was enough smoke to make it look like Victorian London down there. I was seated in the upper left section of the arena which had a good view for the stage. I showed up at around the time Femme Schmit was performing so I guess that's a no show for meeting y'all.

While y'all are also at it, listen to Royal Blood. Absoloutely fantastic band who just released their second album on the 16th.

Maybe I'm just overlooking all the good in this bad era. Maybe I'm too pessimistic, I don't know. I just want THEM back, not the Post-MX Coldplay, just authentic Coldplay.

I think that the song as a whole is fine (that piano brings in AROBTTH vibes), but the lyrics seem a bit poorly wrote and flat. Like what's the point of a "Lone poor shoe; I want to walk into two"? At least we've got an Eno collab to look forward to on the EP, if it's any good that is.

I have become somewhat addicted to Radiohead. A Moon Shaped Pool as a whole and Man of War are dope.

Idk how to feel about Big Sean on Miracles, but I am a bit excited for A L I E N S. The band's working with Brian Eno on that one, and the last time they collaborated on a song was during the Viva era.
