OMG I forgot that the song was perfomed live with the whole band! What an amazing perfomance, Jonny's guitar is on point and the audiance is suprisingly into the song! Will vocals are a bit hard to hear, but I always love how he really gets into it when he sings. When I first heard the song I didn't think much of it but on repeat listens it really grew on me. It's such a shame it was wasted on a movie soundtrack when it could have easily been album material. :confused: Even for live perfomances, since it has a great build up, it would work for more live perfomances.

Those are also phenomenal! I think they add a lot to the song, to the point that I noticed that on Live in São Paulo they are almost non-existent for some reason. I also love that when he sings the "ra-a-aise" part he raises his hand up. It's a little detail that I appreciate. :D Yesterday I heard Atlas which I hadn't done for a long time and notice that there's a great vocal line by Will around 2:55

That song was recommended on the first post of the thread, although I had never seen that video so thanks for that! It's so great that part of the Viva tour sparked many more lead singing Will songs. :D

He probably meant in the sense that Will can hit such high notes that can compete to those of Rihanna, whence quotation marks. :D You're so right! It's a shame that at times they either them when their voices work so beautifully thogheter. :(

Sure I would be up for it, hit me up! It's crazy how big Jonny's beard can get, I think at times he surpasses Will's! :scream: I have no idea if he trims his own beard, but on tour and intreviews he probably has a professional to do it.

The most recent ones make me wonder if he was trying to do that to dress up as Santa for his kids (are they even young enough to still believe that? :joy: ). Maybe he just got lazy and let it grow, either way makes sense to me.

It's a bit hard for me to express what the song conveys for me since english is not my first language but I will try my best. For me this song in general is about starting again and learning from past experiences.If actually look deep into it, the song is quite sad but there's a sense of hope, to never forget we aren't alone in our darkest moments even if it feels like it sometimes. I also love the line "If we could float away, fly up to the surface and just start again, and lift off before trouble just erodes us in the rain..." , it ties to my interpretation of song and it's a desire of mine.

It reminds me more of the intro in the MX tour version of Yellow than Up & Up honestly. The account follows Guy's fiancée, which is a private account so I'm sure it's real. I guess the spell as been broken. It would be so cool if we got Instagram profiles from the rest of the band!

I know about those, I even got a supposed Chris account who contacted me. There are a bunch of those lying around. But there's evidence that this might be the real deal. I think that now because they have such a large demographic in terms of ages, in my opinion, the best thing to do next would be to expand upon the Kaleidoscope EP and try to make something more concise out of it. The EP shows that they can still make something in vien of their old (AICTAIY), their alternative (Aliens) and their pop (Miracles) sounds. And better yet, they can also bring new sounds to the mix that can't be categorised from their catalogue, in the case of Hypnotised. As a 18 year old who got to them during the AHFOD era, but would love to have another album like X&Y, I don't think it's feasible nor reasonble to think that will ever go back to being 100% alternative rock since not only they have changed since, but also the music industry as a whole.

Phew, good thing I'm not the only one! The crazy thing is that now whenever I dream, they always have to be there somehow. I think that if I actually tried to think about them before sleeping so that I would have dreams about them, it wouldn't probably work! Never had another person or thing having this efect on me. They first conquered my hear, now it's my subconscious, HELP...or do I want it?It's actually kinda cool not gonna lie. :cool:

I guess the closest he got to that is The Goldrush, but another try with something more though out would be amazing! I would also love if one we could, at least, have a full-blown Chris and Will duet and release it as a single so people would be more aware of Will's singing abilites! Maybe something in vein of UATW.

When you already had about 6 Coldplay related dream (I had one just last night) in a short period of time without them being lucid dreams. And yes, most of them are Will centric. :no_mouth: Did anybody else here already have had dreams with them?

That's also true, but Guy still takes the crown for speaking the least out of them, like have you seen the press conference they did for the superbowl? I think he said like 4 words max.:laughing:

I agree! Again, I love the emotion he puts when he sings, it never fails to make me smile. :) Here's another gem I found: lead vocals on Till Kingdom Come! Now the gem metaphor isn't for nothing because I had to do quite the digging since this perfomance is very hard to find anywhere! For how obscure it is, it's suprising that it got a mention on Will's Wikipedia page (which is what made me search this in the first place). Even though in the recording you can't see the band peform, the audio is very clear!
