This is a pic from the first time Chris was over to the little side section of the stage close to us. He sang "yooooouuuuu" to my sister and she took this picture. Well said Cloudnine. It was hillarious at the Junos when Pam Anderson made a joke about the seal hunt (saying that she was glad her musical friend Seal wasn't here, because he might get killed.. or something not funny like that) and the whole audience booed. Not because everyone agrees with what's going on, but because who the hell is she to come here and judge something she only sees as pretty little animals getting clubbed to death and not as someone's job (as well as the only way the local fisheries are able to stay afloat...). She doesn't understand anything about it. And, I'd venture to say that most of these bands don't either. They only see/hear a cause and figure they're big enough celebs that not touring a country will change everything. Trust me, if Pam Anderson asking the Prime Minister for a "private meeting" doesn't work... Morrissy not playing here probably won't make a dent (neither will the Pet Shop Boys). Sorry. Yea, and stop touring the US if you're upset about something. Frig, they're killing people... where are our priorities?

briggins, they said on MuchMusic that Guy, Will, and Jonny took off right after the performance on a plane (or, did a runner) to get to the next play date. they also said that chris stayed around to do the award thingy and then took off directly too. I'm not sure where you're aunt got her info, but she have heard of some other band. Plus it doesnt' make much sense for only 25 people to be there... even with EMI reps n'stuff.. there'd have been a lot more. And they had soundcheck the next afternoon in New Hampshire... so partying on sunday night doesn't seem like something they'd do. Although.. I guess it could have happened.. it just seems a little unlikely. Thanks Mo for posting the vids. I have more comming from another friend who was in the audience.. and as soon as i get a paycheck next week, i'll have my own pics.. like the one of me squeezed between Guy and Chris :D:D:D

Before the award show started, we got screwed on where I thought I was going to be standing. Paid $200, stood in line for 6 hours at 4am two months ago to be as close to the stage as possible. That didn't happen. We were shuffled in behind another pit where kids with red wristbands were going (I have no idea how they got those wristbands). Anyways, I was pissed. However, we ended up standing in front of a piece of the stage that jetted out into the audience (one of a couple pieces like that... so standing in front of this one was completely random). This piece is where Chris spent most of his time. He did the cell phone bit here and made the speech about Brian Adams here... so I saw him more than the red wristband kids. Yay! :) Before Talk began, I called my mom so that she could listen (she would have loved to come just for that one performance... but it was a bit steep just for one Coldplay song). So, knowing that Chris has a thing for cell phones during this song, I hold up my sister's cell so my mom can hear well while she watches on tv at home. Chris comes over just at the right time, stands in front of me and says, with the cutest British accent "Does anyone have a telephone?" I shoved mine at him.. he didn't see it at first, but turns around and takes it from me. He sits down on the stage, punches in a few numbers (I think he was trying to find the phone book).. he couldn't figure it out, and shoves it back as he tries to get back to the song. When I look at it, there were only a few numbers punched in (like i said). But I called my mom after the performance and she yells, "Did Chris just hang up on *me*?!?!?!" She was so excited :) So although she didnt' get a pic with him earlier when I met him outside, she thought it was cool that she was kinda on tv with him instead. :) I'll post my story about meeting the boys outside before soundcheck later. Exam studying first!!!

It says: Top right corner - Guy Far Left Middle circular thing - Will Far Right Middle - Jonny Middle and bottem - Hi Joy great to meet you love coldplay, and then Chris' siggy is under Will's (as far as I can make out). My sister got Will's siggy, and then Chris'... and Chris made a funny face thing out of Will's sig. It's funny.. i'll post it.

i tried downloading.. it's going to take an hour and a half.. and my computer sucks ass so much that it times out only 20% of the way through.. But tomorrow Erin and I are going to get together and get it on here.. both vids.. they're great

hey guys... I'm just home now (my sister wanted to go downtown to see about getting into a club where Black Eyed Peas was hosting a party... the line was around the block.. we skipped). I had the most incredible day. I talked to Chris and Guy as they were heading in for soundcheck... soooo nice. I can't say enough about how nice Chris is. Guy didn't talk much, but he was sweet too. Got autographs, pictures with the boys, etc... it was ... just.. unbelievable. I'll upload pics and vids later. You know, there's a reason we all love this band so much. It's not just because they create the most incredible music in the world. Or because they're pretty damn fine. And it's not because they check on their fans during a performance (although, that's a pretty big reason). It's because they're so nice, and so normal. A tech guy unrelated to the coldplay tech guys came out, looked at me, said "weren't you the one that got a pic with Coldplay?" I said yes, and he went on to praise Chris and talk about how down to earth he is and how nice and kind and friendly and warm... etc... Thats why we love these boys. They aren't rock stars... they're lovely people who play and sing incredibly well. Well, at least... that's why I love them. Goodnight! Like I said.. more pictures and videos to follow.. and pictures of the back of my Parachutes album (vinyl) which is scrawled with siggys now :):):)

Yea, I figured something was up. Usually, if a band is going to come, I think the organizers tell them ahead of time if they've won or not. So when Coldplay was announced to be comming to the award show... I figured they'd won. But then BEP was announced... confusing.. but yea, a tie... Yea, they should have won.

Heh, it's not Coldplay weekend (well, at least not for most of the city)... it's Canadian music weekend... which means that all of snigger's pics are of Canadian bands... mostly because Coldplay hasn't shown up yet (I don't think) and mostly because they won't be doing any public appearances except for the award show tonight... Oh mother, tonight? Erin and I should take in signs that say something about coldplaying.com so you guys know who we are... hehe... How does one go about finding out if the boys are in town... hmmm...

good stuff, dude! I just called the Metro Centre and they said that cameras are allowed!!! Soooo happy. That means that I'll get wicked pics of Coldplay (and other performers) to upload!! :) Man, it's like my birthday and Christmas and Halloween all rolled into one!!!

At least it was cool to see people from bands and the Trailer Park Boys just floating around. I saw Stabilo (really good band) and Pilate at the Marquee after... man, i really really love Pilate!!! and they were phenom live! Now I wish I had been at Sam's with you sniggirb. It's cool you got to see them though. Saturday... hmmm... this day is going to be filled with: #1. trying to figure out if there is an amazing free concert somewhere today that I should be at #2. Bedouin Soundclash and Broken Social Scene concert tonight... with possibly more clubs after with my wristband. aaaaannnnnddddd... #3!!!! Trying to figure out if my beautiful boys are in town!!! So I can get them to autograph my Parachutes Vinyle Case :):):)

woohoo.. last night there was a huge free concert in the middle of the city. It was completely rocking!!! 6000+ people getting ready for an amazing weekend. And tonight, there's a hockey game between retired NHLers and Canadian musicians. Should be fun. More details later!!! Everyone else in this amazing city of Halifax!!! I think shiver deserved to be a #1 If the boys released it *now* as a single.. I think it'd shoot there right away.. it's so brilliant. But, more likely, SoS or Clocks should have been #1s, for sure.

man, i asked Debs what they were going to perform.. I don't think she answered me (although, I haven't checked recently)... They just interviewed Jonny and Chris on ET Canada.. it was great! (although, I don't know how I'm going to handle Chris and his hair when he gets to town... gah, it's soooo long!!!) Anyways, there's apparently something big going to happen (unless Chris is bullshitting us.. as usual... hehe)... There's going to be a bigger interview on Monday :) They seem kinda excited. Man, this thing is nuts. #1. those acts that are complaing... aren't "as good as these international acts"... or else at least some Canadians would have heard of them. #2. be greatful, you douches... like, "it's an honor to just have been nominated" has been thrown out the window for "boo hoo.. I won't be on tv... when will I be able to say 'hi mom'" #3. Halifax is an amazing city. And although it's not as big (Cough-and-obnoxious-cough) as Toronto or some other overated Canadian major city... we know how to do music right... for frig sake, we have our own music award show just for the East Coast! These bands will not be dissapointed... #4. Do these complaining Canadian bands watch other award shows? NEVER in any award show I've ever watched are ALL the awards handed out on tv... do they know how long that'd take?!?!?! Frig. This is such retarded nonsense... And, from one Canadian to the rest of the 'Coldplay lovin' world' I submit that we are not all like these tard indie kids who couldn't get a record deal if their vocal chords depended on it. We appreciate all talent, and most of us have a much better grasp on reality. I thank you. (did the article not mention that there are over 8 Canadian performers and only two international... that's a pretty good ratio, I think...)

man, i've entered every contest... but, as my life completely will never give me something like filming them in TO for the dvd or winning backstage passes... or afterparty passes... it's not likely. although, I did just find out that there's going to be an afterparty put on by warner music... now, how do i get in...
