What do you want to do after school/uni, or what's you job?
Ohhh, I see. Do you have to take any ''estágio'' there in Chile, Lore? I have nooo idea of the word in english, sorry. But maybe you'll understand. Oh yeah, I remember that you told me about politics... I bet you would do a great, great, great chilean president! ;) And I really mean it. Seriously. Hmmmm, your idea sounds interesting. What kind of business, have you already thought of it? (Btw, cooooool sig! ) Oi, oi! :nice: Nice to meet you! I'm Lívia :) Politics sounds nice as well, our country needs people with different ideas and honesty in their hands, right? :D Well, yeah, it appears to be very hard... :\ But I know you may have plenty of disposal if you really wanna make it!

Ohhhh, Lore, thank you! :nice: I tell you the same! Have you already tried something concerning sociology's different areas? :) Wow, Ellen, that sounds great! I thought of taking International Relations as well before going to uni! Do you think of 'Instituto Rio Branco' then?

How Do You Consume Music?
I always try to buy CDs of my favorite bands as a matter of personal perspective. It may sound kinda ridiculous but I feel as if I have contributed to the band, even though I know it envolves record label's profit and etc. I used to download lots of stuff, but since my hard drive went totally destroyed by of all kinds of virus, I decided to give a better look at it. Now I download consciously, trying to choose reliable source. I try to avoid it, but how would I get, for example, special Coldplay covers like the ones spread around here? I have to take ilegal download sometimes... :blank: Besides that, albums here can be pretty expensive. I think it's not fair to pay an absurd for 8 songs when brazilian salaries are so unjust. Sometimes, for me, the price of some albums demonstrates a lack of respect.

What do you want to do after school/uni, or what's you job?
I know no one's names, that's so sad :bigcry: Well, I'm Lívia by the way :) Anyway, flickahidalgo, you have done so many things so far! :nice: Nice opportunities! I believe it clarifies your ideas more, right? I mean, getting in contact with different areas and jobs gives you a better view of what you like/don't like. Experience is always welcomed, isn't it? Oh, that's great, Rudy! A friend of mine is crazy for geology, she'll major in Geology any time soon as well. Good luck! ;) Hogy, I'm sure this opportunity at the museum will make your ideas clearer. You'll have already the chance to try something you had in mind, which is great. You are studying very cool subjects, I bet there's plenty of different ways to follow. I think your achievements will appear by time, maybe after concluding specific subjects at college or whatever. Anyway, it's good to have in mind that we can always try lots of things and move on. I'm studying architecture. I don't know if I've made the right choice, but I'm putting lots of effort in it. I still have a loooong way to pass through, but I'm trying to keep my objectives in order since now. My main idea is to get envolved with history of art, new technologies envolving environmental issues or social architecture. This last one captivates me more, but, at this moment, I'm trying something related to urbanism. Well, we'll see.

How many houses have you lived in?
(^ Hi there, sally! :nice: Great to see you! ) Well, I've lived only in one apartment. I don't know if this sound good or bad. Sometimes I think a change would be nice, but others I just want to get stuck here.

Are you happy that you like coldplay?
Loving Coldplay have always provided me with great things and have always helped me in many, many ways. It may sound a bit cliché, but their music is medicine to my soul, there's nothing compared to a great listening of one of their albums, specially 'a rush'. It has something pretty powerful I can't tell, but it's amazing to feel it. Coldplay have songs to cheer you up, to make you feel introspective, to help you get through different kind of situations and, besides everything, the songs make you grow up and you can take great learning from them. I don't even have to mention that the band is a great example amongst others. The guys are all very lovely, kind, engaged to important subjects and they are always showing off some big and important values. You just don't find it every day. At last but not least, the band gave me true friends that I'm gonna keep in my heart forever. Distance does not matter when there's love envolved. This board is an example of how people can get closer and closer even being far from each other. You can feel the love around. Well, yeah, I'm very happy that I like Coldplay. I'm even proud of it. :smug:

please, help me
Ohhhh, thank you sooo much, guys! Really, your words warmed my heart. You're all very lovely. And, yeah, she was indeed very talented, wasn't she? I'm sure her music will remain forever, as well as her fantastic happiness and love. Well, there's no Debs's answear yet, but I'm still very confident. If I have any reply, I'll let you know. Lovingchris42, thank you for the idea! I tried anchorman as well after your post. I haven't thought of him before. And, cele, be sure you all are helping me a lot. Really. Once more, thank you.

You are right, Nancy. And thank you. Oh, now I've seen that the exhibition roon is opened. This may sound too stupid, but the videos are not mine and there's no way to write something together explaining the situation. I have to complete the fields 'your name', 'email adress' and 'submission title'. Should I write all her data and write 'a tribute to Yumi' on 'submission title'. I don't know what to do.

please, help me
Do you think, guys? I just hope so then. Thank you very much. I've already sent mine and I truly hope she reads it. Thank you, guys, really. Yeah, and I think Coldplay wouldn't ignore that either. They're incredible.

Are you able to see the links of the videos? Because they're not appearing here and I don't know if I've done something wrong when posting... Edit: ohh, I haven't seen the posts before, sorry. I just wrote the links, should I do something else? And thank you, Carla.

I thought of it, Emp3, but the exhibition room section is closed for some days. But thank you.

please, help me
Hello, everybody. I'm back here again after some time. I don't know if I'm doing the right thing posting here, some people may not like it, but Coldplay fans have always been so gentle and nice that I can't imagine bad reactions. Well, a great friend of mine, Yumi, died in a landslip in January 1st in a city called Angra dos Reis, Brazil. This news appeared in lots of newspapers all around the world. She loved music, she used to play the acoustic guitar and sing like no one. Yumi was a huge fan of Coldplay and she has even made some videos covering a few songs of the band. My wish is that these videos get in Coldplay's hands. Yumi would be the happiest person ever if she knew Coldplay had watched one of them. Mi idea is to send an email to Debs so that she could pass the links to the guys. I don't know if this will work, but I count on you as well. I would like you to send the text above to debs email ([email protected]) so that she could read it. The more people send it, the easier is to make her read it. I thought of the subject "please, Debs, read this. It's really important" Do you have other ideas? I tried to think of a subject to capt her attention, but I don't know if this is a good one. So, here's the text to be e-mailed: Hi, Debs. How are you? First of all, I'm so sorry for all these messages in your email with the same subject sent by different people. That was the only way I found to get in touch with you. I don't know if you've seen this in the newspapers. A tragedy happened here in Brazil in January 1st, specifically in the city of Angra dos Reis, situated in the state of Rio de Janeiro. A close friend of mine called Yumi Faraci and many more, including whole families, died there; they were buried by a great amount of earth. Yumi was a huge fan of Coldplay. She had already watched them live once and we would watch together the upcoming concert in Rio. She has posted some great videos on youtube covering Coldplay's songs. The reason I'm writing, Debs, maybe is not possible but I had to try. It would be the most amazing if the band could watch one of her videos. I am pretty sure she would be extremely happy; she had plans of starting a career in music and she used to dream about playing with the guys. Here you have some url of her videos. They're all related to Coldplay. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKmMp...eature=related]YouTube- Broadcast Yourself.[/ame] - see you soon [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5ofn...eature=related]YouTube- Broadcast Yourself.[/ame] - lovers in japan [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POFxK...eature=related]YouTube- Broadcast Yourself.[/ame] - fix you If you could just show them one of the videos, Debs. That would mean the world. Thank you very much in advance, Love, Lívia That's it, guys. There may be some english mistakes, but this is so irrelevant at the moment. If you could help me spread this message, I would be the most grateful. Thank you very, very, very much. This board has always gave me lots of support and happiness.

I wasn't able to watch it... It appears only an image in my screen. Do you know if any special computer program is needed? And I dunno what TDB is either... :\

RIP Jennifer/Nettie
This is probably one of the most shocking this I've been up to for quite a long time... I've never been that close to Nettie but she was definitely one of the biggest Coldplay fans I've ever met. No one can say the opposite. Gosh, now it's too late to thank her for everything she did for us, fans. For now, all my thoughts are with her family and friends.

The World Turned Upside Down - lyrics, Sergio Mello?
^ Gosh, exactly the verse you were looking for? :stunned: Well, as a portuguese speaker, I can surely tell you it does not sound like ''Sergio Melo'' in the lyrics. I mean, if you consider a very funny accent, then maybe it's ok. But here, in Brazil, we wouldn't say Sergio Melo the way Chris did at all. :P I've always considered ''searching you mellow'' as well, although it's not that clear. :)

Favorite Coldplay song ever...
I guess I would have to say clocks. It was the song that made me get into coldplay and, for me, it's unbeliveably beautiful. I love the lyrics and what's that piano intro? I totally trip listening to it. Somehow that intro reminds me of totally freedom. :)
