Ok, I'm also trying once more As far as I know, until AmsterdamMan posted, first of june, we have already had Lost?, LIT, Viva la Vida, Violet hill, a spell a rebel yell and a preview of Lost!, Yes and 42. So, I do think he had material to express himself. Ok, I know 30 seconds of a song is too little, I know you shouldn’t base your opinion in a 30 second-clip, but, still, we had 5 complete songs. And I keep saying that I read some replies over here concerning his opinion about the album. And do you remember that locust guy?Didn’t he just came out here saying he had listened to violet hill before everyone else?We haven’t had the song by that time and I saw lots of people coming to him saying “you’re a lier”. In the end, he wasn’t. To let things clear, I’m not saying this guy has 42 or strawberry swing or whichever song of the new album we don’t have. But, on the other hand, what if he actually does? We don’t have proofs neither to confirm he has nor doesn’t have the songs. I just didn’t expect that so many people would come and offend him this way.

I support 2732...I know we've been passing through a 'my opinion threads' time (and I must confess that's not really nice) and that everyone is dying to get this new album but I really do not see the point of being this hard to the guy. Ok, 42 didn't come out or strawberry swing and I know that saying such things can make huge impact since all coldplay fans are desperate for it, but, anyway, let's just calm ourselves down!In 9 days we'll be able to listen all the songs!Can't we just be a little more patient?As a noob, he might get intimidated and not post here anymore...I believe no one here would like to receive such a bad welcome...And this is not the image I've always pictured of Coldplay fans. And, omg, no one needs to like coldplay's new stuff just because it's Coldplay!I confess that I didn't like Violet hill that much when I first listened to it and I had to listen to it more times to say ''yeah, I was wrong, this song is actually quite good''. It actually happened with some more Coldplay songs and it doesn't make me less into them than any other fan. No one is obligated to enjoy everything.

The first news we got about coldplay performing on mtv movie awards didn't mention a duet with the pussycat dolls, it was supposed to be 2 separated performances. I hope it's right...

Some people in here went to the exit door of the venue some good hours before the concert in order to catch them up after the (I really dunno how can I say this in english - sorry) passage of sound...A group of 5 people stayed there waiting for them and got autographs... And, yeah, besides that, they got out at the hotel as well...And Will, all of a sudden, even got out of the hotel with Marianne and the translator and started to walk calmly through the streets... Anyway, they're accessible and that's one of the nicest things ever. If you really wanna meet them, it's totally possible. Just keep the dream alive. Ha, what a cliche sentence! :P But it's true. :nice:

Oh, nice thread!I feel like writing as well... :D I'm Lívia and I'm 17 years old. Well, I got into Coldplay with clocks, back in 2004. Coldplay was the very first band that made me fell in love with their music. Before that, I didn't even like music that much. But then, the band showed me a whole new world of amazing stuff. I'm on the last high school year and I pretend to be an architect. I like to draw and to paint although I'm not that good on it. I like to go out with my friends and have some good laughs and great conversations. I really love to help whoever and whenever I can. I take piano classes (basically bacause of Coldplay) and when I'm in front of it I forget about everything else. I love history, maths and I hope to write something someday. Oh, and I love to learn. :nice:

Erm, low76, I think you're being a bit extreme at your point. I mean, we have in our hands 2 totally different songs of viva la vida and, by the information we've been getting for these past months, I think we can tell that each song is pretty different from the other. Maybe you'll just have to wait to listen to the whole album or maybe listen to violet hill and viva la viva some more times. I must confess that vh didn't captivate me at the first time but I listened to it again and again and then I realized by the 15th time or something that it was a really nice work. I admit that a spell a rebel yell isn't the song I would say I like but my opinion can change as well, who knows?Maybe it's a matter of adapting our ears because it's a fact that they're souding different. But they ''prepared'' us, they told us they would change. But we can still have great songs to be sung by a huge crowd. Maybe you should just open your mind a bit more. The majority of the fans loved the songs, maybe you'll love the ones that are coming too. Or even these two we already have. :) And you shouldn't miss this opportunity to go to the free concert. As Safiire said, they're going to play parachutes and arobtth songs...It's a chance you can't miss.

This song busrt me into tears. It's really, really, really wonderful. Viva la vida was the Coldplay song I was looking for in this album. Yeah, now I'm sure that there will be something for each one in this fourth album.

Oh my, I just have to make your words my words :) You perfectly described my state right now, with all the fear and excitment Viva la vida touched my heart in a way that I was desperately looking for. I was looking foward to listen to such a song, that would warm myself and make me feel the Coldplay essence again...Now I can smile openly again...Not that I was afraid that I wouldn't like their new work but it was wonderful to listen to a song that made me so wordless in these times that we all are going crazy for the fourth album.
