  1. exactly. you're attention is still divided between the road and the conversation you're having. its bad enough trying to have a conversation with a passenger in the car, I always end up missing what they're saying but they can at least see i'm concentrating on driving

  4. Atonement was very good, and works fantastically well on the big screen. you wouldn't get the same atmosphere on dvd. the whole cinema was siletn, and all you could hear was the tiking of a clock as briony crept along the hall. the tense feeling through the cinema just kept building. keira knightley seems to be improving with age too. she usully annoys me at some point in a film, but didn't at all this time
  5. Atonement 9.5/10 Was a little apprehensive as i didn't enjoy all the book. the film is absolutely fantastic. its extremely well filmed, and remains really faithful to the novel (from what i remember). Some of the scenes were filmed so well, and i'd love to see some of the out-takes from the library scene which must have taken a hell of a lot of filming to get that angle sorted!!
  6. Much better. What is it with the Americans changing book titles?

  13. Owen Wilson asks to 'heal in private' LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Actor Owen Wilson has asked to be allowed to "heal in private" after being rushed to a Los Angeles area hospital during the weekend for an undisclosed reason. "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time," Wilson said in a statement released through his publicist, Ina Treciokas. The star of "Meet the Parents," "The Wedding Crashers and "The Royal Tenenbaums" was taken to a hospital Sunday afternoon after Santa Monica emergency personnel responded to a medical aid call at the actor's home. The reason for and severity of his hospitalization were not revealed, although several media outlets reported the actor had attempted to commit suicide. Cynthia Harding, a spokeswoman for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, confirmed Wilson, 38, was transferred to the facility Sunday night after first checking into St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica. She said he was listed in good condition. His parents and brothers, Luke and Andrew, were seen at the Los Angeles medical facility. http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/Entertainment/2007/08/27/owen_wilson_asks_to_heal_in_private/7787/
  14. Owen Wilson Hospitalized: Reports No official confirmation has been provided. "Wedding Crashers" star Owen Wilson reportedly was hospitalized Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles, although no official confirmation has been given. The Santa Monica Police Department released the following statement to TMZ.com: "On Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at 12:10 p.m., officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to a medical assistance call from the Santa Monica Fire Department at the 900 block of 23rd Street. The person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated." People.com reported that the home is Owen Wilson's residence. Wilson's brother Luke was seen visiting Beverly Hills' Cedars Sinai hospital Sunday night in a videotape on Entertainment Tonight's Web site. Sightings of other Wilson family members have been reported by various media outlets. Several sites have claimed that Owen Wilson attempted suicide, but those reports have yet to be substantiated. Owen, 38, is the middle child of the Wilson brothers, all of whom act, frequently with each other. Earlier this year, eldest brother Andrew co-directed alongside Luke "The Wendell Baker Story," a film in which Owen appeared. Wilson, one of the most bankable comic actors working today, is best known for his roles in blockbuster comedies including "Wedding Crashers," "You, Me and Dupree" and "Night at the Museum." One of the most prolific leading men today, he has a bevy of upcoming projects in various stages of production, including the already completed "Drillbit Taylor" and "The Darjeeling Limited." The latter film, Wilson's latest collaboration with friend and frequent collaborator Wes Anderson, is scheduled for release September 29. Wilson was scheduled to attend the film's premiere next week at the Venice Film Festival. Wilson earned an Oscar nomination for his writing on an earlier Anderson effort in which he appeared, "The Royal Tenenbaums." Wilson is also scheduled to appear in the big 2008 summer comedy, "Tropic Thunder" opposite "Night at the Museum" co-star Ben Stiller. MTV News recently spoke to that film's co-writer Justin Theroux, who said they were still in the midst of shooting the film in Hawaii. MTV's requests for comment from Wilson's representatives had not been granted at press time. http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1567895/story.jhtml
  15. Owen Wilson Hospitalized in Calif. SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Owen Wilson was taken to the hospital by paramedics this weekend, authorities said Monday. It wasn't known why the 38-year-old actor was hospitalized, but a neighbor said a police car, fire truck and ambulance were outside Wilson's gated house around noon Sunday. "These guys were kind of taking their time taking a stretcher out of the ambulance, then they went into the house," said neighbor Geoffry White, 61, who lives directly across the street. A spokesman for Wilson said a statement would be released later Monday. Santa Monica Fire Battalion Chief Jose Torres said Monday the department responded to a call that involved Wilson. He said Wilson was taken to St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica. A hospital spokeswoman didn't immediately return phone calls. The chief wouldn't comment on Wilson's injuries or condition, citing federal privacy laws. Wilson's screen credits include "Wedding Crashers" and "You, Me and Dupree." He was nominated for a screenwriting Oscar for 2001's "The Royal Tenenbaums." http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2007Aug27/0,4670,PeopleOwenWilson,00.html
