  1. they deleted Ian, Stephen and myself from the admin account. unfortunately for them, Ian had a secret backdoor into the forum so was able to get back in and shut them out.
  2. I've started this and am really enjoying it. I put it down for a while as I was struggling to read it whilst tired and working odd shifts. Its definitely not a book for continually picking up and putting down every few pages. I'm going to take it with me today, as I'm going to be on the train for 3 hours.
  3. You ought to read a balance of the two. The classics are your literary heritage, and most of the time they are classics because they are still relevant however many years later. To read both means that you have a basis for comparison.
  4. Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnn!!! Can we go? Can we? please?
  5. Have just finished "The Boy in Striped Pyjamas" by John Boyne. It is an absolutely amazing book, and I'd definitely recommend it. Can't tell you more about it than that because it would ruin the whole plot, the only thing I can say is that if you like historical fiction you'll love it.

Crikey!! And I was thinking I was bad with 183, and the limit being 50!!!! Tried to delete a few and have accidently deleted the whole darned lot!
  7. Would be more interested if I hadn't been rotaed into work for every England match. How'm I supposed to see my Sharkies when they're doing their international duty if I'm nowhere near a tv? Grrrrrrrrrr!
  8. didn't pick up Memoirs of a Geisha after all. am reading Blood Fever by charlie Higson instead. Its absolutely fantastic
  9. hmmmmmm!! do we really need a million new threads for this countdown? what's wrong with keep bumping the old one? huh?
  10. going to re-read Memoirs of a Geisha I think
  11. I know, Burnley are fantastic aren't they? :D :P City were my first love, but never got to live matches and they're very rarely on tv. So when Ian started taking me to Turf Moor, my allegiances shifted slightly.

cool idea. but you need to bear in mind why there was so much traffic, there was something Coldplay related going on in the form of a teensy weensy album release/ pre-album leakage. alot of the users were new users who will never have been back since. I can also tell you that the board was ridiculously slow because of all the extra traffic.
  14. Way to go City!
