I downloaded it from Chris and found out that there are about 55 songs where his name appears without that of the rest of the band. But then ASCAP also lists songs by other people with the names of 'Chris Martin' or 'Christopher Martin' even though I downloaded songs only for 'Christopher Anthony John Martin'. On that list there are about 20 songs which cannot really be tracked down to anybody and of which nothing is known as to their date of registration. So we'll just have to wait.

I checked ASCAP today and saw that for Chris the counter says 276. A week ago it was 274.

I wonder what the band is up to. I read that Chris said in court (where he was testifying against a stalker) that he would be travelling to London on business and would not return until early May. Being in London 'on business' could mean seeing the other members of Coldplay. Perhaps they are going to perform at the Global Citizen Festival in Berlin on May 21st?

Thanks. It seems as if Jonny, Will and Phil are up to something. Phil has sold his house in Malibu and has returned to London. Probably Guy will join them. Today is the last day of Synchro Sunday, so after that he has more time to join them in the Bakery. And Chris? It seems he is going on with his gap year or years. It was him who said during the AHFOD tour that it was the end of a circle and a finale. The other three never said that. So they are now eager to go on. Let's hope the conscious pilot will steer their plane to new horizons with new music.

Are all Coldplay songs listed with the ASCAP or can you find them elsewhere?

So had I :) I tried the names of the other members of Coldplay and found out that under the heading 'Writers' there are indeed 216 songs listed for Jonathan Buckland. There are equally 216 songs listed for William Champion. There are 253 songs listed for Guy Berryman and 274 songs for Christopher Anthony Martin. We all know that Chris sometimes writes songs for other performers than Coldplay, but did Guy really write so many songs for performers outside Coldplay? Unfortunately we don't know how many songs were listed for Guy and Chris two days ago. Then we would know whether the new song is one written by Jonny and Will or by all four of them.

That sounds interesting, and of course with Will's vocals. He has a very good voice, perhaps he is weary of only serving as the back-up vocals of Chris. And perhaps Chris and Guy recorded something interesting together when Guy was in LA.

This might well be going to happen. Guy is so preoccupied with other projects and Chris is far away in LA surfing and being together with his kids. Perhaps Will and Jonny are now fed up with their gap year and want to work again. Will they ever get together again, the four of them? I doubt it, but of course I hope they will.

I also find this strange. Perhaps Jonny and Will are doing something on their own?

Yes, it was a joke. I would have loved to be there. It is intereting to see how differently the four members keep in touch with their fans. Guy is the most active, Will seeks the direct contact, Chris writes two little tweets and Jonny?

It's so annoying. Whenever you type into Google 'Coldplay, news' to see whether there is something new about their music, albums etc. it's often Gwyneth who pops up with a new weird story about Chris and their relationship. It makes me cringe. What she says about him should be taken with a pinch of salt. By the way, I like Paradise. It's not one of my three or four favourite Coldplay songs, but I still like listening to it.

It would be so much easier for them to record new music if Chris was living in London again. Probably they would already have released something new. But Chris stays in Malibu because of his kids, and so we will have to wait a long time until we finally get a new record/song/album.

I agree with you. Why should a fan group in Mongolia know anything new about Coldplay? This rainbow-coloured question mark is probably just a hint at Chris accompanying Kathey Musgraves on the piano for her song 'Rainbow' at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in LA two days ago. So Chris is busy playing the piano and Guy, according to his Instagram account, is taking part in a car race and has his Synchro Sunday Project going on tonight. As to Will and Jonny, we know nothing. Each of the four is obviously pursuing his own business.

Thanks for the video. I hadn't seen it before. It's funny that even when Chris is not sitting next to him in an interview Guy hardly says anything and now he is so outspoken on his Instagram account.

Guy has left LA and is on his way home. He spent just a week in California with his family and showed us all the places he went to. He might have seen Chris, but there was surely no time for recording new songs. And obviously Will and Jonny weren't there. So I think it is not in the near future that we will have new Coldplay music, perhaps next year.
