Yeah I was supposed to be going to London to work for a few weeks. Was supposed to get there sometime this week (like, wed or thurs). Fucking glad I didn't go...

Probably brought up that way, with some kind of bad teaching.... Not much we could have done about it, though. I think we all knew it was going to happen after 9/11. We just didn't know when. I think as far as reaction wise it's been really well worked at as far as evacuating and dealing with everyone went. Kudos to the services and the underground staff etc. Oh, and Indiepixie, you joined on my 15th birthday :P (offtopic ness :P) Oooh!! According to BBC it just said "More than 33 fatalities confirmed" It went up from 26 like, a min ago - so they're still having problems obviously. And yeah, they knew people would be hurt aswell, but, well.. they don't care. I just think that if they wanted to cause as much death as possible, they would have done something a lot more effective than what they have done today.

I believe that the point of this attack wasn't to take lives, but to bring the capital city in England to a complete standstill. They did that.

Apparently the death toll from different sources range from 2 to 50...

Yeah, my uncle and cousin are working in London (Earls Court), and I was going to go down and work with them for a few weeks. Don't know if I'll be allowed to go now (I'm 16, I'm sure my mom will have something to say...) I'm just hoping my uncle and cousin are alright! Edit: Ohh yeah... Another thing, on the local news it said that services were gonna be on extra security... And for people to be extra vigilant. It could well spread, lets just hope not... :/

It's quite surreal... I'm in Newcastle so I don't have any personal worries... But I'm going to work in London sometime soon (it was supposed to be today even) I would have been pulling into Kings Cross station in about 20mins if I'd went... Damn glad I didn't! One small insignificant plus point amid all of these bad points is that security in London and on public transport will be massively improved.

The Whites Stripes last night had about 45 on BBC2, then switched onto BBC3 for the rest of their time. I think the rest was shown on BBC2 later on though.
