What's going on EAR?
Goodness, a tattoo. Whatever are these actresses coming to. A sure sign it's all going to Hell in a handbasket for reals now. :disappointed: *tsk*

Old man gets schooled
I'm impressed you guys have made it through this many articles without your brains melting. :stunned: Well done. Be careful though, the psychological effects can last for a long time...

Such a pretty house and such a pretty garden.
^You should see how different the carrots are. It tastes like an entirely different vegetable.

Doctor Who ???......
One week  Lots of new clips out here and there. I watched a bunch of them and then all of a sudden Matt was the Doctor. And that was it. He reminds me of the second Doctor for some reason, almost as if DT's doctor was trying to do an impression of the second. It's interesting.

Crests of Daylight/Glacial Fox/Crests, Foaming at the Mouth
Oh, so you do have a name then :p You'll still always be Crests in my mind.:D Tammi is a nice name though. :nice: Um, you can probably get away without showing it some of the time if your teacher is ok with it. But at the same time I don't think you'll regret the practice you would get.

^I always had that problem too. It drove my teachers a bit crazy. But the thing is that when it all gets really hard and long and complicated in grades 11 and 12, if you have lots of practice writing things out the long way it makes it easier to understand what is happening. I'm Mo.

A thread for Mark's copy and pasted Daily Mail news articles that aren't actually news
Ok, that was awesome. :laugh3: And Stephen Fry liked it so much he actually took a break from his twitter break for it. :nice:

Yes. :D I never do. That's why I always have to draw little pictures when I'm solving word problems like that.

That's right. But you always do functions in the brackets first if they can be simplified, and x+x is usually written 2x. It will seem less wrong then. No, because the second speed is in relation to the first speed- it is going 5km/h faster. If you figure out the speed of the first car (X) then you add five to that for the speed of the second car (X+5). That means that if it turns out that the first car is going 60 km/h (it isn't actually) then the second car will be going 65 km/h.

Yep, 210 is the distance in two hours, so it's equal to 2 times the distance in one hour. 210 = 2(distance in one hour) I'm not going to be more specific than that because you'll learn best if you figure part of it out yourself. :P ;) Hello. Don't mind me... I kind of like math when it doesn't break my brain.

Such a pretty house and such a pretty garden.
How did last year's garden go? Did you get anything good out of it?

Hi Admin/Mods
*sigh* Nice to know civility is so contagious around here.

Crests of Daylight/Glacial Fox/Crests, Foaming at the Mouth
Ah, ok, so you just have to work it out one step at a time. Drawings help. So the first car is going this way <----- at X km/h and the second car is going this way -----> at X+5 km/h. That means that the total distance between them in one hour will be 2 X's and another 5km. Now you just need to double that to get the distance in two hours then solve for X. :escaping:

^He's on Penny's boat with her raising their kid. I may miss him, but it's a good thing.

The backlash: Reform turns personal
Proving once again that these current generations have devolved into a bunch of imbecilic five-year-olds-for-eternity. :dozey: It has nothing to do with health care and everything to do with a bunch of teenage spoiled brats in the 60's who thought the abolition of manners was a good idea- and their repressed parents who misused manners as a form of mandatory conformity. Manners went out the window, the boomer revolutionaries forgot what sort of things they were fighting for when they realized they could buy bigger houses than their parents ever owned (and proceeded to tank the economy and their RSPs), and the world forgot how to interact. And now we have a world where every off-colour joke and every unpopular comment that makes it into the mainstream media brings back a raft of death threats and irrational babbling. I don't think Americans even remember what conservative used to mean. Or why.

Lost: Season 6 (The Finale) [OFFICIAL THREAD]
Something cool I just found out: So Richard is from the Canary Islands, specifically Tenerife. Apparently, they have a legend there specific to Tenerife about a lost 8th Canary Island they call San Borondon. Sailors had legends about trying to sail to it only to have the mists close in and it disappeared. http://www.tenerife-information-centre.com/legend-of-san-borondon.html http://www.donquijote.org/tenerife/legend5.asp http://wapedia.mobi/en/St._Brendan%27s_Island Oh, from the last one, this is cool:

I don't know what's going on.
^Nice sig. :D

Americans must now buy bad health insurance policies - even if they don't need them.
Those Tea Party sorts would be a lot easier to respect if more of them seemed to understand the difference between Communism and Fascism.

Lost: Season 6 (The Finale) [OFFICIAL THREAD]
Sort of like Ben used Nadia to make Sayid kill Widmore's people out of revenge? And then Smokey used Alex to actually make Ben kill Jacob? Hmm... methinks I see a pattern emerging here.

Is it weird if someone random from a forum adds you on Facebook?
Wise.

Is it weird if someone random from a forum adds you on Facebook?
If someone from a board I frequent can't take a couple of minutes to actually talk to me on that board, then I don't see any reason why it should take me more than a tenth of a second to block them anywhere else. I can't stand collectors. I really can't stand collectors who fill up my feeds. People I actually talk to around here? Sure, I guess. Though I am a bit paranoid.

Doctor Who ???......
^Yeah, that first trailer would probably look a lot more impressive in 3D. :smug2: As for Matt yeah I think he'll always look weird, but about halfway through the first of the new trailers I was like, yeah he's the Doctor. He may not be my Doctor, but that was definitely THE Doctor speaking. Good writing, Mr. Moffat.

Ok, raise your hand if you really, really wanted to give Richard a hug by the end of that. Also, how was the thing with the ship even physically possible?

News from the EMI / Warner Music / Parlophone / Atlantic Records shakeup...
I'm no businessman, but I don't think that Coldplay's back catalog would be up for grabs. It wouldn't make sense to alienate one of your current artists by giving up and taking away all control of their music. It's more likely that it would be bands that are no longer with the company like The Stones or Pink Floyd or Radiohead where the entire catalog can be packaged up.

Music for Religion Lesson about Death
That would be one of the rare occasions that my first choice would be "Fix You" since it was specifically inspired by dealing with death and grief and mourning, and seeing someone you love hurting because of it. Daahf is a decent choice too. Probably one of the prettiest options, and it gets into the whole thing about how so much of culture is about trying to run away from death in one way or another.
