I don't know what's going on.
It's like an M.C. Escher staircase- always going down and down and down but never getting lower.

Is the number 42 haunting you?
Of course it's everywhere. There are a lot of Douglas Adams fans in the world. :P But in general, what he said: (at 2:20) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YldowmD89ng]YouTube- PI (Darren Aronofsky) - Math vs. Numerology[/ame] "You want to find the number 216 in the world, you will be able to find it everywhere. 216 steps from a mere street corner to your front door. 216 seconds you spend riding on the elevator. When your mind becomes obsessed with anything, you will filter everything else out and find that thing everywhere. "

FLASH FORWARD
It's a very good show. I like it. :nice: It's like a giant philosophical debate disguised as a thriller. So I guess I understand why a lot of people wouldn't get it right away or would wonder why it was so talky. But yeah, if you like stuff that actually deals with BIG QUESTIONS, then it's awesome. Still could pull a "heroes" and go downhill in a hurry, but for now it's one of the best most thought-provoking shows out there.

COLDPLAYING'S ALBUMS OF THE DECADE! VOTING CLOSED
^That's not very late. Take your time to do it right. And remember to take breaks- I'm bad at that part. Think of it this way, it takes me a mind numbing amount of time to get a yearly list compiled. Most of my longest lists are about the length of your shortest lists. Your longest lists are five times that length. So it's going to be a lot of work. I have no idea how Nik put his countdowns together so fast, but I think he was just plain better at spreadsheets than most of us mortals. The sweetest part if you used a spreadsheet is when everything is entered in, and you click a few buttons to add up the points and then sort the albums. Click click, there's number one. It's all worth it then. If you like, I can send you my spreadsheet from last year if you want to see how I usually arrange everything- It sounds like your way may not be the most efficient. This may have been asked before, but what ranking system are you using?

Which band member would you most like to see a solo album from?
Will. He has such a beautiful singing voice and he can play so many different instruments. I have no idea what it would sound like, but I'm curious to know. They're all better off together, though. *nods*

"LeftRightLeftRightLeft" Free Live Album Mailing Exchange Thread
What about provinces far, far away from any bright center of the universe where bands actually tour, Angie? :shy:

Coldplay autograph experts: Is this legit?
Looks pretty good to me. Could have been traced, I suppose- it's very tidy, but that's definitely what their sigs look like.

Rejecting the things that have been around for too long?
Er... I'm the one who prefers to write with a fountain pen. And to listen to music on vinyl records... And who plays the N64 when I want to play video games... So I guess that's a no.

COLDPLAYING'S ALBUMS OF THE DECADE! VOTING CLOSED
So... have you figured out why I didn't volunteer to do this one yet? Hope it's going well.

Eddy Grant Sues Gorillaz for Plagiarism.
 You can't copyright a musical style. :bomb: At least with this one it should be harder for all the youtubers to lay one song on top of the other.

News from the EMI / Warner Music / Parlophone / Atlantic Records shakeup...
^Yes, and yes it should. I've changed thread titles many times before. But it didn't work this time- it treated the first post like a regular post. ...and it's adding an edited time stamp to the post, so something has definitely changed. (But not adding it to this edited post. :wtf:)

News from the EMI / Warner Music / Parlophone / Atlantic Records shakeup...
 It won't let me change the thread title- only the post title. What's going on?

Hey kids, who wants to hear my crazy stories about Mexico?
Holy crap Angie! :freak: Wow. Coldplaying's stalker extraordinaire strikes again. :D Did I mention wow? :stunned:

News from the EMI / Warner Music / Parlophone / Atlantic Records shakeup...
Yeah, their time is ticking away, I'm afraid. And it's not going to end pretty... Kind of ironic that they'd probably be the most financially sound of the big labels if they didn't have that debt to worry about. They just "amicably" let Ok Go er...go and start their own label, even though the band had been profitable. Probably all the embarrassment in the press over videos didn't help. Since this seems to be the main EMI news thread now, and it's safe to say that Coldplay isn't on strike, perhaps I should change the thread name?

Yay my family is poor now
Sounds like someone might have cloned your sim card or something, dude.

Hello.
Jogging any memories? And I hear you... it's going to be a weird day come Easter when the new guy takes over completely. Say, do you still play the drums much?

Hello.
Er... it hasn't changed in a few years.... I used to be Erin?... I changed my avatar for the first time in years when DT's doctor regenerated, if that helps...

Prospekt font?
The first one was the one I was using. It was good, but the shareware demo version doesn't let you save anything. I'll look into the second.

Hello.
Alyssa! :D Hi! :nice: And er... not much. ...I don't think I could hate anyone if I tried. :uhoh:

When people say X&Y was "overproduced".
^I agree, there's a gem of an album hidden in there. They were young and made a lot of production mistakes that inexperienced bands make, but that doesn't mean the songs themselves are bad. I often wonder what it would sound like if they recorded it knowing what they know now. What would the tracklisting be? What sorts of instruments would they use?
-
Prospekt font?
I'm working on numbers and punctuation and then it's a matter of finding a good free program that will actually allow me to save as a font. (The last one didn't as I found out after a few hours. :dozey:) Between illness and school I haven't had time to get much done in a bit, but march break is next week. :D I traced and modified Prospekt's writing so that it would work as a proper computer font. She made it bigger. Glad you like.
