the only thing i could understand Materazzi saying to provoke a reaction like that would have been about his family.

and you have to pin 98% of it on Zidane because things are said every 15 seconds between opposition players so he should have been used to it, especially with his experience.

i absolutely agree with that .. Zidane played one fantastic game and two good games and the rest he was pretty average. Cannavaro for me, has been sensational throughout the tournament for Italy and probably one of the main reasons why they have their name on the trophy. The golden ball is decided from all the journalists votes at half time during the final, therefore the headbutt was after the vote.

The World Cup. No, its not a disgrace, there has been no more diving than the last time and this has become part of football all over the world so its not going to stop just because players are playing in the world cup. the game went well tonight. i though the referee did excellently, although i thought the overall standard of the refereeing in the tournament was pretty poor. they were giving way too many cards out. i'm pleased Italy won as i thought France were pretty poor for most of the tournament, although Italy weren't that brilliant either .. Zidane, well he has wrecked his whole footballing reputation with that. People will remember a great player, one of the best, but they will also remember the disgusting behaviour he showed tonihht. My conclusion of this world cup is that it has been enjoyable and better than 4 years ago in South Korea and Japan. However, i thought most of the big name players failed to perform to their best level and subsequently the 'better' (on paper) teams like Brazil, Spain, Argentina & England didn't have a World Cup to remember. Rating of World Cup: 7.5/10

Muse - Knights of Cydonia

Muse's next single will be Starlight ... 'Muse are once again working with David Slade on the new video for 'Starlight' the next single of Black Holes & Revelations. Shooting for the video is expected to start late next month. Slade is aparrently planning what looks almost like a sequal video for 'Sing For Absolution'.
