  1. \ It is a deleted scene that is on the DVD.
  2. I have the biggest urge to bring out Reilly's "google pictures."
  3. Favourite metal bands Rick?
  4. Listening (and recording) now. If anyone wants I may be able to upload, but it might not be great quality.
  5. Getting a bit defensive Rick? This vid crack me up (Look at Clapton. Hahahahha): http://youtube.com/watch?v=x8IMFe2uxt4 No-one these days would consider this metal, but it was like the first metal ever. (And still the best :uhoh:) There really would be a few types of metal-fans in this thread, ones that like 70's metal http://youtube.com/watch?v=LenmWzI7h8k, 80's metal (http://youtube.com/watch?v=otuCPqrGd0Q, and nu-metal http://youtube.com/watch?v=J6mBY0L0T1s. And then there are the sub-genres......
  6. That depends really. Most of it takes talent. ie. shred. But a lot of it doesn't.
  7. That is so cute :nice:. (And that isn't something I would normally say). Keep up the great work, if only there were more people like you...... May I ask where you are based, as in, where do you live?

I would have to say Vulture Street is there weakest, but I don't have all their albums yet, so I can't really judge.
  9. You realise that performance is fake?

    Darn tootin'!
  12. I will try to keep this as unoffensive as possible. I have always thought of religion as a "beacon of faith" for people to believe in. I do not follow religion at all, or pray, or anything like that. I just know that it is there and I am sure I may be led to relying upon it when something is so dire in my life that I need something to put my faith into, something to give me strength. But nothing more. I go to a Catholic school so I am sort of always surrounded by religion all the time. I acknowledge it, accept it, but do not particularly follow it. We have school masses maybe once a fortnight and I understand the practice of having it there to take part in, every 2 weeks. I would never want to go anymore often because I do not learn anything but "God will help you", "God is good","Treat everyone equal","Overcome evil with good." etc. It is like a feeble attempt at a system of laws that nobody follows. What I don't understand is the people that go to church, of their own free will, every week (and in some cases every day) to practice their religion. If they went and enjoyed it in the same way I did they would be extremely bored because they have been going all their life, every week and heard all the stories, all the morals before. But, what I want to say is: why? what is religion good for nowadays? and why do people visit church every day to, well really, "worship"? It doesn't make sense to me. Religion was used for thousands of years before now to explain the unexplainable: why is the sky blue? where did we come from? what are the stars? But science has answered almost every question that religion was created for. So why is it still around? In the form that it is. I realise there are extremelely small amounts of people that still practice religion regularly, but for those who do, why? If religion became obsolete and everyone accpeted it as obsolete how much more peace would there be in the world? They would stop trying to prove their religion is right or trying to force their ideals and beliefs on others. People lay false hope in religion, thinking it will solve their problems, but it won't. In the words of Bender: "You can't count on God for Jack!" Why do people practice religion? Religion is there a sign of hope when needed. You might not believe it will help you but, by the time I end up relying on religion, there is really nowhere else to go. A "beacon of faith" and nothing more.

    Fucker. You better come back.

I make a lot of threads about bands (mainly Australian) that noone cares about and I doubt this will be any different, but 'tis worth a shot. If I had to define Powderfinger I would say: Alternative music with some Australian rock thrown in. Now they are not the easiest band to find music from on the net but I'll try. Amazon Sound Samples. Listen to "Passenger" (best song IMO) and "The Day You Come" Fan Myspace Australian Music Online Official Myspace (only one song, but it is a good one at that.) You may heard some of Bernard Fanning's (lead singer) new solo work, it is awesome too, but it is a bit more on the country side. Please check them out, you won't be disappointed.

I agree that Hair Metal was just fucking horrendous. The Darkness are lame. Those are the type of falsetto's I can actually sing because they are pretty much making fun of themselves. (I wonder if that's on purpose ) "Just listen to the rhythm of the heart"
  16. Now I'm no drummer, but from what I can tell, that was awesome. A lot better than the guy that I'm always stuck with for my music performances at school. :laugh4: Nice Job!
  17. Trivium are crap IMO. :shocked3: Too repetitive and they aren't really metal.
  18. Has anybody here used any of those sites and actually found out something about their heritage? It would be very interesting.
  19. I'll avoid the predictable response and say........ yes.:blank:
  20. CREAM FOREVER!
  21. Well then you like Nu-Metal. Which I hate. I like Old-school metal. Cream, Black Sabbath, Metallica. Damn Straight. Except not new Metallica, that stuff is shit.

    acceptance what a dream moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  23. I see each decade as: 50's: Beginnings of Rock and Roll, probably the best time for Blues and Jazz. (IMO) 60's: AWESOME! birth of rock, Psychadelica, hippie movement, first great songwriters, The Beatles , beginnings of heavy metal (Cream) 70's: Rock music at it's peak, Zeppelin, Sabbath, AC/DC etc, birth of punk (good punk), introduction of pop. 80's:\: Pop is in full swing (joy), birth of Hip Hop, Dance music, electronic music (thank God that has advanced since then), metal is at its peak. Birth of grunge towards the end. That decade is so recognisable, definitely in the pop section, it is just so terrible. 90's: Destruction of big-hair rock (thankyou Kurt Cobain:wink2:), best time for Grunge, Indie/Alternative excellent at this point, birth of britpop, Most experimental era besides the 60's. Good hip-hop :shocked3: (At least at the start), all round, pretty darn nice. 00's: Introduction of good electronica, Emo , Indie becoming hugely popular, A whole bunch of music (thanks to the internet.) Not many defining genres (as of yet.) But that is just my opinion and I'm sure everyone's differ.
