I must say I disagree with that statement. Look at the comparissons to music before and after Sgt. Peppers. There was nothing like it before it and it influenced a generation.
I don't disagree that Radiohead are experimental, but saying that The Beatles weren't is a bit of a poor call. So many bands wouldn't be around right now, one of almost definitely being Radiohead (although probably not directly), if not for The Beatles.
And I do realise that you said that Radiohead were more experimental and not that the Beatles weren't experimental at all, but The Beatles were almost definitely more experimental than Radiohead. They were pretty much the first band to use any electronica and synthetic effects.
Don't get me wrong, I like Radiohead and The Beatles pretty evenly (maybe even Radiohead more).
