Oh god, the Strokes gig coming up has been something I've been more excited about than.... hell, than seeing them 2 weeks ago! :laugh4: It's GA, so I'm getting there early and hanging out with some people I met at the "non" Kasabian "gig" :laugh4: They're playing Lupos, here in Providence, RI (where I live). I'm psyched!!! Of course I will be taking THOUSANDS of pictures (ok not that many I'd get in trouble lmfao lmfao). But yeah. It's a non-rail venue, so I'm right against the stage. AWESOME. They're so... unreal to me. I've seen them twice already, but that's always been from a distance (about a mile away from the stage at Oxegen Festival lmfao and 35th or something row in Boston a couple weeks back). This'll be the first time I see them in the flesh up close. I don't think I'm going to be able to handle it! They're just so other worldly COOL. I'll probably melt away.

I heard that they went back into the studio about three weeks ago. I haven't heard any official news, though, it was just a random thought I had. They don't seem to be a slow, annoyingly perfectionish band where we'll be waiting five years for a new album (I swear to god I'm not ragging on Coldplay, promise! :uhoh: ). I have a feeling it'd be out in Springish '07. Or at least that's what it was alluded to. I'm pretty sure Alex told us Irish at Oxegen they'd be back "next year". hMmmm. I think I also had a mild concussion though :laugh4:

Since I live in the States, I don't feel TOO much guilt, hardly anyone tours when they're a new band anyways :laugh4: But I certainly don't like to hear about gigs that I missed because I was either taking an exam (as was the case when Arctic Monkeys did their first US tour in April, but that was 18+ and I was still 17, so).
