  1. I hate muscley guys. A lot. I mean, I think that's pretty obvious from who I post in the sexy fit men thread :laugh4: Raggamuffin musicians forever! Uuuuuuuuuuuuuugh, I see what you mean :veryangry:
  2. Seriously, don't hate me for doing this...... but...... lmfao. It had to be done!!! (FYI: Taken from this... )
  3. Anthony is sooo tall and skinny. But it's like... a nice skinny. Not like I can see his spine or anything when he took of his shirt. ahaha, Carl could lend him some.... :lipsrsealed2: (not that I'm saying Carl's fat! He's got a bit of a pudge, and it's cute! Really! :laugh4: ) awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Pete!!! He's so sweet :nice: Great interview, haha Have you ever bumped into a personal hero? Yes – when I was 16, walking down Oxford Street, I saw Ian Brown. I said: ‘Are you Ian Brown?’ He said no and walked off, but I am sure it was him. nice! :laugh4: Thanks for that!
  4. Nope, Keane doesn't have any guitar used at all. Tim Rice-Oxley, their keyboardist, is a genius. So he manipulates the sound on his keyboards with all sorts of effects (if you have any of their DVDs, like the one that came with the recent album) he shows how he did this :) Really, really cool! They do use bass, though. Tim also plays this, in fact when they were getting started this is the instrument he played (they also had a guitar player a long time ago, who left the band because they were never getting a record contract or anything). So Tim plays the bass. I think live they use a backing track, since it's probably physically impossible for the three of them to play bass at the same time :laugh4: Then again, Tim could also be "playing" bass on his keyboards. It's amazing what he does, he's awesome!
  5. From the new album :) : Los Angeles Waltz America Before I Fall To Pieces In The Morning Pop Song 2006 From Up All Night: Leave Me Alone Rock 'n' Roll Lies Rip It Up Golden Touch Stumble And Fall Fall, Fall, Fall To The Sea Somewhere Else But you know, I love all of them. I actually have a Razorlight playlist that I play in the car, all those songs are on it
  6. I like the U2 Show book I got from a friend, I like the pictures a lot. Nice coffee table book, fun to flip through. The best book is definately At The End of The World. I love it!!! Really great, and done very well. I love how it's not like some trashy ex-friend of the band novel that truly doesn't capture who they are. Quite the opposite, it made me love the band more! I really recommend it to everyone ;) Even if they're not U2 fans, it's fun reading. I liked Bono In Conversation as well, it was a quick read. But then I'm the type who likes to listen to the man talk, and read what he says :laugh4: It was good though.
  7. Here's a link to the book through Amazon.com ;) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0060776757/104-2059695-3153545?v=glance&n=283155 I'm so excited, I'm definately going to pick up my copy the day it comes out!!! :D Jeez, look at that deal on Amazon.com! Anton Corbijn's book (which cost me on it's own about 80 bucks) and that! That's a deal, I think... ahah
  8. Snow Patrol's really good, I haven't listened to them a lot though. But from what I've heard, I like them! Hahaha, you think the second Libertines album is shite? Hmmmm... Well I'm a big fan of their first, 'Up The Bracket', more so than the second. But the second album... well, each track is really excellent. But just not AS excellent as the first. I like when bands put out great second albums, they always tend to become my favorites, like Keane. Hhaha, look I brought the thread back on subject! :laugh4:
  9. Bands should tour every city every where, I mean, I think it's totally unfair how bands ignore certain regions. Some of the biggest fans don't live in New York City, or Los Angeles, or London, or Toronto. It's lame. I hope someone comes out your way.. ;) And yes, Razorlight's extremely good. They're one of my favorite bands at the moment :nice:
  10. No, I'm still going to go and all that. I'm just really disapointed by all this. I was soooo unbelievably excited, I couldn't even explain it to you. Really it was the only thing making me want school to start, so this gig could come faster!! I'm just really disapointed and let down by the whole situation, I'm not going to lie. It's incredibly shocking and slightly..... just strange for me to wrap my head around. God, I hope Razorlight's still opening for them. For some reason the Tokyo gigs aren't on their main website. I'm going to send their myspace a private message and hope for a response. :(
  11. Yeah well. There goes every last bit of excitement I had left for the show. I mean... just... this is fucking.... the worst thing that could have happened. So, Razorlight's myspace has only solo gigs listed. But this is the first one listed: Sep 25 2006 8:00P Club Quatro Tokyo Sep 26 2006 8:00P Club Quatro Tokyo My show with Keane would be the 24th, no way they can fly from Boston to Tokyo in that short of a timeframe. I mean, maybe, but... I hiiiiighly doubt it. I am going to go fucking cry now. I don't even want to go anymore.
  12. That's quite confusing, it doesn't confirm or deny whether they're STILL opening for them?? I think they will be.... I'll go check out their myspace and see if the events are updated, or maybe their official site.... I shall report back! :smug: haha
  13. Thanks so much for that, Therese! http://www.dirtyprettythingsband.com/index.php/gallery/image_full/63/ Stanthony..... :dead: daaaaaaamnit. That man's gorgeous. I quite like Carl's facial hair. (And I love your signature, that picture of them was taken outside the Great Scott where I saw them a week ago!! :) )
  14. Snakes On A Plane-11/10 BEST. MOVIE. EVER. omg. I am not kidding. Little Miss Sunshine- 8/10 Although it dragged a TAD bit towards the end, I really did love it. Kind of felt like I didn't want it to end, really funny movie. haha Check it out!
  15. Hey folks. Following the postponement of several North American shows earlier this week, we can now confirm the new dates for three of the shows. - Boston, Bank of America Pavilion - was Sept 16th, moved to Sept 24th - NYC Hammerstein - was Sept 14th, moved to Sept 27th - NYC Carnegie Hall - was Sept 13th, moved to Jan 18th, 2007 Further rescheduled dates will be announced soon. Thanks Keane HQ You guys don't want to know how pissed off I am right now. Like, this is fucking unbelievable. Sorry I mean I know I'm coming across as a whiney, spoiled bitch, but.... I WAS GOING TO SEE ADAM GREEN ON THE 24TH. And my friend probably won't be able to go now, since it's not a Saturday and now a Sunday. This fucking figures, at least they're coming back though. And they better honor my ticket. Christ. AND RAZORLIGHT BETTER STILL BE OPENING. WHAT THE... this is aweful.
  16. lmfao I don't know what I was even talking about. I think I'm half on drugs early in the morning, seriously. Wow. I apologize...... :stunned:  LMFAOOOO I SWEAR I'M NOT ON CRACK.
  17. Also, very interesting pictures. Thanks so much for them, and the links.
  18. That's hysterical, I saw that on the Daily Show (I had read the transcript of the press conference before the show, actually). All I can do is *facepalm*
  19. http://u2mp3s.com/ (plus the forum) http://forum.interference.com/f192.html http://www.u2tours.com/ (offers mp3's from every single tour if you search) Seriously there are so many places to get U2 mp3s it's kind of insane. This is why I have over 900 songs and videos of their on my ipod now... :laugh3: Now I wish Keane would have something like this. Keanemp3s.com!!! haha
  20. I'm so excited, I just found that out yesterday believe it or not! There's been such talk about it for SO long I sort of lost all faith of it coming out in '06. So I stopped reading news about it. And now it's coming out next month!!!! This is awesome! I can't wait!
  21. omg, those pictures are freakin' gorgeous. Why is Luke so damn pretty? eeeeeeep....
  22. I think that wins Most Horrifying Internet Statement of the Year. Seriously.
  23. Not to be gossipy, and it TRULY is none of my business, but I wonder yanno.... what the addiction pretains to. It may not be anything hard, he doesn't strike me as a person like that. Could just be an addiction to prescription medication (his exhaustion could tie into that), or sleeping pills, etc. A really close friend of mine's husband is going through a very similiar problem.... It's incredibly hard to admit and deal with, and I give huuuuge kudos to Tom for being so brave to not just face it privately, but to share it with fans and indeed the world. I feel honored that he thinks we deserve the truth :nice: And I agree, Tim, I also hope that their management doesn't push them into the ground. They're only human. Christ, I'd be a complete junkie after only 2 weeks of touring, I'm sure! :laugh4:
  24. I love Albert, he is so cute! :nice:
  25. As one of the fans that this is affecting, I can say that I would rather him cancel my gig than have him continue to go through something aweful like that. Bless him, I'm not let down. (They've postponed the September shows, fyi, which affects my Boston gig.) Everyone has their demons, and huge kudos go to him for dealing with it in a quick and really mature manner.
