Facts about Chucky
I don't know, you're not. It just occured to me that was an insanely mean and awesome thing to say, so I said it. I think I'll call everyone a dickhead tonight, it's my favorite word right now. I should just go to sleep right now. I'm really not making sense. But no, you're not a dickhead.

when you are sad what MAKES you happy?
When I'm depressed I listen to music, play with my dog, take a walk, talk to someone, or sleep. I put other, because Bono makes me happy all the time. All I have to do is look at a picture of him (which I was just doing, saving pictures of him in Africa) and I felt so happy :nice: I was pretty sad beforehand, too. That man's my miracle drug. Music makes me happiest though.

Conservatives fleeing Bush's side... AMEN!!
What the.... hell?

Conservatives fleeing Bush's side... AMEN!!
I don't think not trusting the government is anarchist. Obviously you don't know what true anarchy is. Being skeptical and questioning things that affect our lives isn't ANARCHY. It's intelligent.

Conservatives fleeing Bush's side... AMEN!!
I know, I just felt a need to defend her.

Conservatives fleeing Bush's side... AMEN!!
f more people thought like you, there'd be utter chaos. Bullshit. She never said we don't need a government. Stop saying things to make everyone elses ideas sound like they're anarchists and you're the only sound mind around.

Conservatives fleeing Bush's side... AMEN!!
You obviously know her really well, don't you? Or do you generalize people that easily? I am very VERY VERY thankful that I was born in this country, and not born into poverty or any other dire circumstance. I am thankful that I have grown into the person that I am. Who do I thank for this? I don't really know, but I guess I would give the Founding Fathers big smooches for being the stepping stone to the wonderful society that we live in. Of course there are HUGE things that make me sick, and make me wish I had been born anywhere else, but... I'd be a different person. I do love my country, but not because of colors on a flag or a song that I sing or a person sitting in a chair on a hill in a white house. I don't love America because of that. I love it because it has helped shape me into who I am today. I don't know who could disagree with that. I'm sure Camille would not.

Conservatives fleeing Bush's side... AMEN!!
lmfao, I know that there are other countries getting their phones tapped! France, and much of Europe do. I read an article about that the other day. But MILLIONS of people being targetted??? Every day citizens who just might not have the ® next to their names in the voting booth getting particularly targetted (god help little ol' Socialist me!). Oh yes, people DIRECTLY ASSOCIATED with Al Queida should be watched, we have learned that after 9/11. But I don't plan on ever blowing anyone up, but I might speak out very strongly against certain aspects of our society. Does this warrent me no say in searches of my home or viewing of my phone records? Crazy. Where does the line get drawn? I don't think ANYONE should EVER be made to live in a fascist society. Ever. So cut that shit out right now, it's not even funny or a good come back. That's just a horrible thing to say. Just because we think the government may be going to shit and we don't FEEL as free as we wish we might, it doesn't mean we deserve to go live in Iraq or should just get the hell out of America. Isn't that freeeeeeeedom, to say these things? :sneaky: I, for one, would absolutely LOVE to see what a purely communist country is like, especially living in one. For me, I'd find that interesting. It'd give me an interesting alternate view to many things, I think. Sadly, there aren't any real communist countries left. :( Oh well.

Eric Clapton hits out at Coldplay and U2
I'm not SAYING he doesn't deserve respect. No, I'm not that big of a fan anymore. I was a HUGE classic rock freak about 2 years ago now. Really, I listened to NOTHING that came out in the 80s on. I loved Clapton's old stuff, loved Cream and Derek and the Dominoes and all that. Sessions for (with?) Robert J just bored me. Clapton's become a nostalgic item to me now, someone who has earned my respect but not my endearing devotion. I do not deny that he has been through a LOT. His recovery and battles have made him a great person, I'm sure... I just think that a lot of the old rock stars are dickheads now. They don't fit in so they end up alienating whole portions of their fanbase (like me) because they don't know when to shut the hell up. He obviously doesn't get that he's not going to let people even want to hear the past if they think that he's the voice of it.

Eric Clapton hits out at Coldplay and U2
Clapton's a fucking dumbass, the end. Fucking duuuumb, the old fart. I'm tired of these stupid old musicians who feel like the only future is in the past. Dude. It's dead. I'll enjoy it, I'll listen to it, but IT'S DEAD. "You glorify the past, while the future dries up."-Bono I've already ranted about this to my friends, but it hasn't stopped pissing me off. He has NO clue. U2 DID go back to their past, ever listened to Rattle and Hum? They got KILLED by the media and industry for that. Their only choice was to forge forward, resulting in their best album, Achtung Baby. They know what the past is, who hasn't heard Stairway to friggin' Heaven or Layla a billion times?? But I don't want to hear 15 different takes on that for Clapton to jerk off all over and be all "OMGZ ROCK ISN'T DEAD!" The Stones will never be as good. Keith Moon will never come back. Led Zeppelin will never reunite. The Beatles are gone. The blues are tired. We only have the future to look towards. Frankly, I'm tired of hearing Clapton's stuff, those same 12 bar blues get a little boring after awhile (and I was a BIG TIME CLapton fan). And for him to say that U2 doesn't care about the music and only care about fame and award shows... Wow. Get your head out your ass man. U2 took two years out of their lives to live on the road for their fans. They have 6 months now off and they're back out across the world. All for the music, all for the people who keep seeing them. Does Clapton do this? No. He hasn't been around in a long time. Right. Ok. I'm so done with this.

We have freedoms. Why would we argue that? We're free people in many ways. WE'RE NOT THE ONLY FREE COUNTRY, THOUGH. People protest in A LOT OF OTHER COUNTRIES. They don't get their phones tapped though, they have a freedom we don't there. What's so special about America really? That we get to elect a new president once every four years, who's usually pretty shitty? That we have a corrupt government of people who can't ever come to a good decision for the people, but can make some really great deals for themselves. Yeah, we've got our comedy. We've got our books. We've got our music. But we have a far from perfect, for from great government ruling over us. And it's always been lacking in some way, it's nothing new. I've had it with this country, people who want to wallow away in our governments propaganda and increasingly disturbing power can have it and rot for all I care. You keep your debates. I'm done, there's not any point to them anyways. *really pissy today so this probably came out a lot harsher than I intended, but who cares*

Bush Proposes New Amendment to Congress
Well whoop de friggin' do for nature. Since when has the human race ever given a shit about nature, and let that dictate our lives? If we all went by the theory "The fittest survive" then maybe we should let everyone in Africa suffering from poverty, malaria, AIDS, HIV, and any other assortment of illnesses just die. It's not NATURAL to allow them to live, right? Because nature has dictated that they cannot survive under the circumstances they are put under. We are superior, let 'em rot, right? No. We don't do that. Because we have souls, we go deeper than nature. We believe in more than that. It's unnatural for someone to rise from the dead? Yet people believe Jesus did? It's not stated in nature that we have SOULS, or a conscience, yet we believe we do. So who CARES if it's unnatural. We all live our lives by what our souls tell us, not Darwin. Not anyone. If I want to have a relationship with a woman, then I will do it. I wouldn't feel anything unnatural about it. Until you've been there, then you're in NO POSITION to judge or talk about what it's like to be in a same-sex relationship. Or what it's like to harbour feelings for someone of the same sex. The government should never meddle in the private affairs of American citizens, they should never dictate what you can and can't do in your private life. Marriage has become a legal engagement, I believe that those rules should be changed, changed so that everyone has an equal opportunity to have the same rights. If the word "marriage" is not associated with that legal agreement, then so be it. THIS DOES NOT MEAN, however, that the government should be passing ammendments that deem "marriage" (which is commonly thought of as a religious ceremony) only for heterosexual couples. They shouldn't be passing laws that have ANYTHING to do with marriage, or sexuality, or religion, or race, or ANY of that. It disturbs me that our government feels that it's so high and mighty that it CAN do that. Are we now all so complacent that we'll sit around and let them do whatever they want? I certainly am not. If the government says that I would never be able to have a religious union with someone of the same sex, and gain those equal rights that I'm being denied due to something so trivial as sexuality then fuck the government. I'll do it anyways. They have NO RIGHT to tell me what I can and can't do. And that's nobody's problem but mine. The end.

Conservatives fleeing Bush's side... AMEN!!
Just going to tell you, that made no sense what so ever? He'd be a bad president to be doing it... Well he's doing it. Does that make him a bad president? Well I guess as long as you're on your knees in front of the government, you're ok. But for those of us who feel that the only way to be a human with free thought is to question all that affects us, well. We're probably having not-so-private phone conversations. Good thing I never answer the phone. You know, you can say this is good, but you have to wonder if the stakes that we're playing at are worth it to "fight terrorism". It just seems so... WRONG to me. Deny us our freedoms that we're fighting to defend?? In the name of defending it? Is this what the terrorists want, to scare us into such a state where we start to lose our democracy that they "hate" so very much? It seems to me that the terrorists have succeeded then.

Conservatives fleeing Bush's side... AMEN!!
Deep, Nick. Real deep. I don't like your sarcasm, I wasn't saying anything anti-Bush, was I? I think it's just a series of unfortunate events that's led us to this debate, it's not anything new. How boring these debates have become. :snore:

- Conservatives fleeing Bush's side... AMEN!!
I wouldn't blame this on Bush at all. His administration, some of the people he works with, yeah I'd blame them. But I don't know, I blame a lot of other people too. And things like this have happened in the past with other administrations. I'm sure if you did research on government surveillance you'd find a lot of things that would suprise you, it's something I think I might start doing. I want to know who's reading my AIM conversations, that's all! :uhoh: - Conservatives fleeing Bush's side... AMEN!!
