The official **THIS BAND/PERSON SUCKS** Vent Thread
Keane? :( *doesn't want to get into it, so please, DON'T EXPLAIN WHY. It'd be too painful for my eyes to read.*

U2
HAPPY 46TH, ADAM! Haha. My parents are all older than U2! My infatuation with them isn't THAT weird!!! Sometimes I shock myself, really. I did find the definition to auspicious, by the way.

Check in her if you're depressed.
Xadajoda, I can't thank you enough for the kind words. I know I shouldn't be ashamed of it, I can't help it that I'm this way. But a lot of times I notice how people will immediately segway conversations from depression to suicide. It makes me feel like if you're depressed you're immediately labeled emo, suicidal, crazy, etc ec. I'm not, I'm just not motivated and very sad a lot of times. Which, thankfully, hasn't happened in awhile. Your vocabulary is fine, by the way. :) I don't think anyone here was chastising anybody who says that they're depressed. I've noticed that there are different meanings to the word "depressed". Everybody here seems to have a slightly different interpretation. I guess to some it is the word they use to describe their low moods, their sadness. To me depression is a disease and a curse on my life. Sure, it makes me sad, but more often it makes me physically sick and dead inside. So I'm sorry if I came off a bit defensive and... bitchy about it all. We've all got different problems and it's not right for anyone to belittle anybody's. :) I hope that's not how I came across.

U2
Guh... The Explorer is amazing. I would die just to touch it once, let alone PLAY it! I just got my Music Rising t-shirt a couple days ago. I can't wait to wear it around!

U2
Oh, of course I'd credit you if I posted them. :) I've been plotting to make myself an all girls tribute band so I can get on stage! But that'd be pathetic.... Next to the music rising guitar, the sparkly one is my favorite of Edge's.

U2
Your pictures..... Wow. Blew me away is an understatement. I absolutely love the shot of Edge's shoes. Hey, Edge, you stole my shoes from my closet!! The snow man... oh man. *dies of laughter* That IS what a U2 fan does. Too bad I didn't get more snow around here lately! Adam looks so cool in that last picture. Hope you don't mind if I save a few of these? Not to tout around as my own, or anything, just like to collect nice pictures of the guys :)

Arctic Monkeys!
Oh they definately did that just to mess with everyone, complete with the semi smashing of the guitar/amp and indifferent sauntering offstage. Classic. I hope they do really well here in the US. I'm trying to turn my friends on to them, but only one other person I know listens to them.

U2
Oh no, I can't possibly make a post about Oct. 4th without including this: Ahhh. All that's sitting in a nice frame right next to my bed.

U2
The sun shines out of Bono's arse! I took this picture right after, or right before, he smiled down at me between Love and Peace and Bloody Sunday. I screamed pretty loud, it must have took him off guard??? He should be used to that! Wow. Him smiling at me during a concert, though, made my entire life. "You probably couldn't see me for the lights, but you were staring straight at me." (sorry, listening to Arctic Monkeys). Bono smiling down at me moment was closely followed by Adam winking at me and posing for this picture during Streets. My hearts beating fast just remembering it.... Adam having a great time, see his smile? Only decent shot of Larry I got all night, which wasn't that decent at all. Bono and Edge interaction in front of me. I took a lot more pictures, but I'm going to Barnes&Noble now, so maybe I'll post a few more later! I also have some from my Hartford concert and Dec. 4th one. Nothing can top October 4th for me, though. What an incredible, incredible day. It left me with a feeling that I'm sure only other U2 fans can understand. Plus, it made a GA/U2 addict out of my mom, who came with me. She refuses to get any other tickets for their next tour (whenever that may be, god willing) that are not GA. This coming from the lady who freaked out at me when I told her at 7pm, October 3rd, that she might want to go to sleep pretty early since we'd be sitting on the cold Boston cement at 4:30 in the morning!! Right. I'm done blabbing like Bono ;)

U2
Don't get me started on 'Velvet Dress'. Whoooooaaaaa... The things that enter my mind... Just not appropriate for this thread, nor anywhere on the internet  Actually. There probably are places for that, but definately not ones that I visit!!!! Anyhoo! Pictures I took: Edge signing my thing in this, what a sweetheart! My mom took this one, as she leaned off the fence LMFAO! I'm holding out my U2 postcard picture thingy, which he seems to be looking towards. Yet he doesn't sign it! >:( Mean Bono! Just kidding, ;) Him looking towards the girls who screamed "BONO IS A STUDMUFFIN!" John looks amused. What a shot. I had the luck with that one! Electric Co. rocked that night. Proud of this picture, definately.

Arctic Monkeys!
^Weird that you mention the chord progressions in a 'Certain Romance', Camille. I just taught myself them. And played the entire song very.. very... very... loud. My grandma came in and told me my brother was trying to take a nap and there's no way he could "sleep with that racket goin' on!" Hahaha. Oops! The Monkeys made me do it, grandma!!!!

Arctic Monkeys!
I think Alex is 19. Only a year and less than a half older than me! *plots* The SNL performance was awesome. "Tha' man just yawned!" LMFAO! The SNL crowd don't strike me as Arctic Monkey fans.... Especially when they showed a panning shot of them, they were all really old and lame looking. SNL sucks anyways. /done bitching. Anyways, awesome pictures bonabon! I can only quote what you said: iwanthimiwanthimiwanthimiwanthimiwanthimiwanthimiw anthimiwanthim lmfao lmfao

The official **KEANE** thread
Well, I don't know how many Keane fans there are who like U2 as well, but I found something that's pretty damn interesting. The similarities are eery! What's funny about that is when I saw them open for U2 back in October I said to the person I was next to "Jeez, he looks just like a young Bono!". I was right. He IS a young Bono!!!!

U2
That is AMAZING! Whoa!!! I could know Kimla, I'm not sure! Most likely I have met her at one point during my Boston "adventures" I only got to 4 shows this year, since I'm still living at home, don't have a steady job yet, and well... still in school! So it's hard for me to get the money and time to see the shows. But I saw them in Boston on May 28th (I had seats, front row right next to the walkway on the side), October 4th (magical, front row on the elipse, Bono smiled down at me and Adam winked at me! Damn!) and December 4th (again, front row next to the walkway on the side). Then I had nosebleeds for Hartford, on the 7th. Surprisingly, I think that the Hartford show was the second best next to GA. I thought the nosebleeds would be horrid, but they weren't at all! I met Edge on Oct. 4th. It was an incredible moment. I was sooo nervous, I didn't say anything. He just came up to me and took the U2 picture I had and signed it. My hands were shaking a lot, he must have noticed. Then he handed it back to me really gently and carefully so I didn't drop it. He was moving on to the next person when suddenly it hit me that Edge was right next to me and I hadn't said anything to him, so I burst out "Edge! Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much!!!!!" He turned around to me and gave me such a smile, then winked. Oh jeez. That was crazy! I got Adam's autograph that day, as well, thanks to a really nice person who passed my picture up for me. ...Wow, that was a long winded story. I just love talking about it, though! I've got some pictures that I've posted on this thread before, but maybe I'll post them again. I've got to go now, though. Oh, and by the way, is that a 2005 next to B's signature? When I looked quick I thought it said "omg..." LMFAO!!!!! Which is the exact thing I think everytime I see that picture. Haha.

U2
I'm the same username as here, an_cat! :) Have to admit, I'm a bit more of a lurker around there. Don't know why, I guess there's just so many threads, I end up reading more than posting! I've seen your posts around, I think! Cool! U2 fans really are the best bunch of people. I've never met nicer people than the ones I hung out with in the Boston GA line. They're the most caring, knowledgable and giving people I've ever met, really.

Arcade Fire
Wow, I love those pictures!! Thanks! Hey, it just occured to me that I've been a fan of the Arcade Fire almost a year now. I started listening to them in March, I'm pretty sure! Cool!

Pictures, webcams, mugshots etc etc etc
She kind of ignored me :( Heh, I bet I could! Except for the fact that I'm a girl..... Hm. Whatever!! haha Aw, bye! :) lol, thanks.

Pictures, webcams, mugshots etc etc etc
 Thanks, I got the beanie and shades at Target! I kind of flipped out in the store. "MOM LOOK, I'M BONO AND THE EDGE AT THE SAME TIME *screams lyrics to Sunday Bloody Sunday*" ..... I'm such a freak. Seriously.

Pictures, webcams, mugshots etc etc etc
lmfao, Here's a kind of amusing picture of me channeling The Edge: And also, sometimes I like to pretend I'm Bono:  I'm strange.

Arctic Monkeys!
I downloaded their album awhile ago (Well, I had it before the US release anyways), and have been loving it ever since. I'm psyched that I'll be seeing them at the Oxegen festival the day before I turn 18! Whoo! Anyways, I went out and bought the album yesterday, because I want to see them do well in the US and they can't do well if everybody's getting the album for free. There's not many bands I do this for, I'll tell you that...

U2
I love An Cat Dubh, definately one of my favorite U2 songs. The guitar intro is awesome. And I love how the title's in irish, since Bono failed that in school  Have you got a lot of mp3s? If so, post them, definately!

Christians!
Ugh. That sucks. I was raised a Catholic. I don't consider myself that anymore, though. I don't consider myself a religious person, either. Not in the way many people would. I do believe in SOMETHING. But it's definately not what my CCD teacher was force feeding me for 8 years of my life. The church, the people who go there, the people who run it, etc etc, all of that has completely pushed me away from organized religion. I think it's all bogus, honestly, and the people who are there are simply in it for themselves. Or at least from my experience. A lot of people I used to see at church would put themselves up on a big soap box, preach these ideals, then go and do the opposite. It's really sad. That's stupid that that youth minister refuses to work with you on this. Just really.... I don't even know how to explain it. If it were ME, I'd be furious.
