  1. Well this is kind of a let down. I'm not sure I'm entirely convinced, but man those video sound awfully similar all the way through. I'd like to think it's because of the repetition of singing the song hundreds of times over a decade, but other songs have subtle differences. Not quite sure what to think here.
  2. Just got back from an air show. No better way to cool off than with a live Coldplay stream!
  3. For my axs vegas ticket: Convenience fee: 23.60 (versus about $15 on Ticketmaster) Handling fee: $4.90 (what are they handling? It's an e-ticket) LET (live entertainment tax): 15.10 - apparently the state of Nevada pockets this one. $43.60 in fees for a single ticket? Screw you axs. For comparison, my tickets for the Rose Bowl via ticketmaster had only a $5.25 processing fee.
  4. Alright, turns out my work network blocks some features (I think flash) of the axs website (for Vegas), that's why I wasn't getting any tickets! Got home and see there are plenty left and picked one up Section 6 Row H. Not bad. Price was $208 after fees, which is more than I paid for my floor seat for the Rose Bowl! Sheesh. Axs charged three separate fees, what's up with that? Handling, conveinience and whatever LET is.
  5. Wow, 10 minutes in the axs waiting room, then can't even pull a single ticket at any price level for Vegas. Hour later: still nothing, not even on the app. I just want one ticket.
  6. $175 for lower bowl in an arena is kind of nutty. I remember paying $80 for similar seats for TL and VLV tour. $130 for Ghost Stories (understandable price for an intimate show). $80 for lower bowl for Pasadena. Muse, Arcade Fire, Mumford & Sons, Florence and The Machine all around $70-$80 for lower level seating.
  7. I'll be trying to go for this one in addition to the two Pasadena dates. For those going after tickets, the arena has an awesome 3-d seating map to help http://www.seats3d.com/mv/las_vegas_arena/stage_end/#/level_2/
  8. Arena acoustics really depend on the venue, but overall is much better than stadiums. Almost not a bad seat in the house. I tend to enjoy the first section above the floor. Looks like the arena shows will be reserved seating too, so unless you got the coin, forget about good floor seats.
  9. Count me in for Vegas at the brand new arena. Maybe Phoenix too, but not sure I'll have the energy for a road trip just days after the Pasadena weekend.
  10. Thought the last one was Vegas, but it could be SLC. I was looking at where the basket landed.
  11. Ah, do I see a Phoenix and Vegas stop in there (assuming each stop in the gif is a new date)? I'm down for adding a road trip to my Pasadena plans. Feeling for the folks in the South East, whole region is being shut out or something.
  12. I had my hopes really high after that leaked setlist earlier in the week. Seems a bit short to me, but a blast either way. Lots of moving pieces to put on a show of this scale, maybe once they have the kinks worked out and get into a good rhythm they can add a couple more songs.
  13. I'll just note I predicted Midnight being a transition song about two months ago. It's perfect, and we've heard it with Politik and Fix You so far. Man what a set list we have, hopefully it stays similar for the NA tour.
  14. I'm willing to bet we'll get the additional dates this coming week, to align with their TV appearances.
  15. Looks like it's gone now. Interesting that it's an arena show. It makes sense to fill in mid-week with some smaller shows. This means they'll have two entirely different stage setups.
  16. I was looking for videos from the stands and found this. We saw all the behind the scenes videos discussing the magnitude of putting the show together in 7 minutes. Here it is in action.
  17. Got my floor ticket in the mail today! :omgomg:
  18. That was great! Kind of a rocky start, Bruno and Bey were meh and too long, but that Clocks-Fix You-Up&Up closer was epic.
  19. I am ready.... oh boy am I ever ready for this. squeeeeee!!!
  20. Remember when the quarter ends, it's about 7 minutes until the actual show starts.
  21. I spoke too soon about Stephen's stream... it got sacked. Sigh.
  22. Thanks for your effort. I was getting worried for a minute there.
  23. Best I've heard it put: "Long periods of anticipation followed by short spurts of action". For some reason, that just really hooks people.
  24. Coldplay fans tend to be more reserved and not as much "zomg coldplay" to everybody. As clearly seen by the Twitter trends.
