  1. That didn't stop Infinity Sign and Humankind from sharing the exact same sample from Life is Beautiful.
  2. Agreed, it sounds really quite nice. Not so keen on Lives though, I prefer the later version of The Astronaut, although there are certainly good points about the Lives version.
  3. How exactly? These people are more rich than we ever will be and more famous than we ever will be. They have lost nothing. The leaks are not the substitute for the album when it comes out, which I will be buying the deluxe version of, regardless of these songs being leaked or not. So, thank you for being the arbiter of morality, but I'll continue to download the leaks.
  4. Had it been shut?
  5. Personally I really doubt they're anything but stock music. It's extremely unlikely Coldplay would launch brand new tracks in the background of a slightly crap BBC Sounds podcast episode that won't have any relevance long-term.
  6. I added it.
  7. Does anyone know if the full version of Electricity that's up is real or not? And what about Houston?
  8. Just to point out there are two domains, one ending in .org and the other in .me. The .me one works fine.
  9. It's up for me.
  10. Because it's new, quite frankly.
  11. They seem to be similar keys but I don't think that Daddy was made from Famous Old Painters. Since FOP was rerecorded for EL at presumably the same time as Daddy was recorded I expect both were considered for the album.
  12. Imposter?
  13. It's the same sample for both songs, but pitched differently.
  14. As much as I'd like it to exist, I'm not convinced a version of Lukas with vocals is actually out there. It may not have even been recorded, but I doubt that.
  15. To be fair to Fun, Humankind and Infinity Sign both formed out of the same song and were both on the same album, so I wouldn't rule it out of being released based solely on that.

Wedding Bells Same as my Weirdo thread, this has been started to move song-specific discussions out of the main 2024 leaks thread. (Main thread available here).
  17. Famous Old Painters Same as my Weirdo thread, this has been started to move song-specific discussions out of the main 2024 leaks thread. (Main thread available here). So far two versions of the song have leaked, one is from the Everyday Life era, and the other is from the Viva La Vida era.
  18. Tomorrow Same as my Weirdo thread, this has been started to move song-specific discussions out of the main 2024 leaks thread. (Main thread available here).
  19. Weirdo Following requests for individual threads for each of the songs included in the 2024 leaks (main thread available here) I have started this thread to talk about Weirdo. I'm going to be making a couple more of these for some of the more popular leaked songs.
  20. I really like Weirdo and to be honest I do think it's one of their best ever songs...
  21. Seems like the kerning is set so that the letters can't overlap. When writing COLDPLAY with a font that does that you can see that the 'arm' of the Y ends further to the left than the bottom of the A's leg is to the right. I used PowerPoint to create a mockup and it did the same thing. Perhaps it's a flaw with the Every Typeface is a Wisefont (or whatever the name is) typeface?
  22. It was me. Joking aside, I really doubt it means anyway.
  23. Not convinced about Prospekt's March being part of a Viva La Vida double album. Three songs are alternate versions of songs from Viva La Vida, two of which should have been on the album from the start. Life in Technicolor ii should never have been replaced with the instrumental version, and other than the extra vocals I am not aware of any differences between the two versions of Lovers in Japan. I did come up with a track list a while ago for a Viva La Vida 'complete edition' which combined both the album and Prospekt's March as if they were one album which did work well but without the changes I made to that tracklist it just wouldn't work.
  24. That's true, I think most of the songs are quite good and could easily be people's favourites. The top three I have now are completely different to the ones I had a few weeks ago - next month I could have been converted and my favourite song would be Gold! (That is a joke)
  25. Love that album. I have it on CD, and I also bought the meditation version of iTunes a while ago. It's lovely music to listen to when you're stressed or trying to do work. That said it isn't much like his other albums, which were a bit more aggressive with songs like Emerald Rush, Everything Connected, Open Eye Signal and Vessel, although they are themselves banging tunes.
