  1. This is their best album ever, except that I think Till Kingdom Come should just be a b-side.
  2. That's just a great thing about brilliant song writers (Chris Martin, Noel Gallagher). They create outstanding b-sides. I do think I Ran Away is a very good song, and it being a b-side is proof of songwriter's sheer genius, much like The Masterplan and Listen Up were Oasis b-sides. By the way, as of the moment I think Oasis has the best b-sides of all, but I think Coldplay could catch on lol.
  3. In My Place and Fix You
  4. Proof "Are you lost or incomplete?"

I liked Chris' analogy of countries and how he compared Jonny to China: He may be smarter but just doesn't talk too much or something to that effect lolz. His guitar part on "Fix You" is the main reason why I so like that song.
  6. Very well said busybee! :P He has a relatively receded hairline for a 28 year old guy, but I think that's the trade-off for the amount of time he spends creating brilliant records lolz.

I thought that "The Scientist" was the greatest song ever till I heard "Fix You." Right, "Fix You" is such a star-reaching tune and it's more complex than "The Scientist." I don't think it will be as amazing with "Fix You" on piano. What really separated the 2 songs ultimately, me thinks was Jonny's oh so Almighty guitar part which culminated on the 4-part harmony (which Chris says on Storytellers was an "outdoing of the Beegees" lol) and finally going down on Chris' oh so resolute ender "Lights will guide..." I think it's Fix You. It was close. And btw I have a slight partiality for their stadium tunes :)). My eyes have a smokescreen when it comes to Fix You.
  8. I just think that X&Y is their best album to date. It took me about a year to get AROBTTH off my player, same with Oasis' Morning Glory. I think I'll wait for the next Coldplay album before my X&Y gets some rest. :))
  9. Fix You. Man, the song for me is legend already.
  10. Where in the cyberworld can I download the video?
  11. Shiver, though not the most popular Coldplay song, got them noticed. It was the setup song for Yellow, and the rest was history.
  12. Chris Martin is the best musician of his generation.
  13. Athlete are several notches below Coldplay. I love Athlete, but obviously they are riding the "everybody sounds like Coldplay" bandwagon. Radiohead called Coldplay's sound "lifestyle music." I just think Radiohead went weirdo. "The good luck with Kid A" comment from Thom Yorke was in response to a question then regarding bands like Coldplay, Travis and Muse copying their music. Coldplay has separated itself from everyone else, and those who keep on saying they sound like Radiohead obviously have got some issues.
  14. X&Y 7,5/10 ==> what's wrong with you Man? Peace! I give first two 9.75, X&Y is perfect 10.

The top Coldplay songs always have their videos showing Chris Martin walking great lengths while singing. Yellow, The Scientist (albeit in backwards motion lol), and now Fix You. Man, the anthem at the end sent shivers down my spine, and I was not even there lol.
  16. I am a huge fan of both bands, and I bought both albums. While DBTT was awesome me thinks X&Y is just better in so many ways. Coldplay's decimating the competition right now, and even Noel Gallagher once said in an interview that where Coldplay is now was where they were in '97 when Oasis on the summit of the rock world. DBTT is much better than Oasis' last 3 albums, but it's dead hard to go head on with a band sounding at the top of their game.
  17. Agree with this one. I just have a very strong feeling that the last 2 singles will not have either A Message or What If. As I said before they will be the A Warning Sign and Amsterdam of this album. My money for last 2 will be White Shadows/Square One and Talk.
  18. Man, that of Fix You says it all, it's just hits me right on the button, :P
  19. I Ran Away You were an island to discover...
  20. Album-wise, all 3 have reached #1. Singles-wise, not yet. In My Place and Speed Of Sound peaked at #2. Fix You will change all that! :)
  21. Same here, but X&Y transcends all generations of Brit rock I've adored, so there.
