^ of course, i agree to a point...Silvio Rodriguez is his equal if not better. Silvio is more poetic Dylan is a story teller both though are political and both have not -what one would call 'singing' voices. Most people would not have head of Silvio though cause he sings in spanish and at one point the Cuban Embargo did not let music from cuba get through- now there's a loop hole though. Victor Jara was another one that equals and more so than the two i've mentioned above because he died for his music, during the Pinochet coup in Chile. He was one of the many rounded up put in concentration camp then killed off- symbolicaly his hands were cut off because he played the guitar. :cry:

i think Jamiroquai is funk and i like his stuff yeah definitly Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind Fire are Funk great catchy song. what about Alisha(Alysha?) Keys some of her stuff is Funk especially the song Karma which incorporates some of Stevie's tune. I have a tapes of a band called Spyro Gyra i think they're Brazillian and another band B.B.Q but these are from my Dad's 70s collection so haven't been able to find much about B.B.Q.- these sound funk

^ agreed what i hate is that when Limp biscult( :lol: great take on the name) did the Behind Blue Eyes most people thought wow they can actually write music ha even me :embarrased: - then i got this guitar book of songs and lo and behold the song was written by The Who! The guitar book was called Golden Classics somefin like that and The Who rightly so are included.

^ i was the same i thought what does gothic music have to offer, i was put off by it i thought they would just be some loud noises strung together incoherently.
