While I see how some people are annoyed at buying a song they already paid for, it's puzzling that people actually thought ETIAW was going to be left off the album. Maybe i'm just a good guesser, but I thought it was a virtual lock that it was going to be on MX, and therefore, I didn't buy the EP.

What is with the lack of a poll, lol Major Minus and UFO sound good to me as well as A Hopeful Transmission. Just hope the song itself is good.

It's hard when you consider they would be cutting some great songs, but easy when you consider they have a large library of songs to choose from. What i'm trying to say is no matter what they do, there will always be a guy in a forum complaining about something....

Ahh, well I can respect that a little bit more. To me though it doesn't matter, I mean I like the B Side 'Crests Of Waves' a lot more than I like 'A Whisper' even though the latter is an 'A Side'.

HLH, CB, UATW and POC weren't on the ETIAW EP. I am saying since MTM was on ETIAW I don't mind either way of it's role in the main LP. If those songs didn't make MX, then i'd see more of a reason to bitch about it. Plus, wasn't everyone annoyed with paying for ETIAW multiple times? Why then are some people complaining that they aren't gonna pay for MTM twice?

Sorry, I should be more specific. It does not matter (to me) whether MTM is or is not on the album since we heard it already. I would be saying the same if MTM WAS on the album and (for example) Major Minus wasn't. Again, all I wanted was to hear it and its exclusion or inclusion on the main album doesn't matter.

No, I'm with you. I mean I've heard the song, most of the people on here have heard the song. What else do you want? Would putting the song on the album make it sound better? Does it make it sound worse?

Not seeing why some are unahppy with MTM's exclusion from the album. I guess it's too bad for the average fan who may not ever know if its existence, but WE know it exists and WE heard it already.

I'm actually not diggin' the lyrics, but then again, its hard to tell without the rest of the song around it. Like, who likes to eat flour by itself when you can mix it with eggs, milk and sugar for a cake?

Fair enough, seems you've actually went through the trouble of searching yourself; I can't say I have. I just assumed it would have been easy.

If the original thread containing the identity of Roadie 42 was at least tagged with 'Roadie', '42', etc then it wouldn't be too hard to look for if you were motivated to do so. I didn't know, because I didn't care; seeing this thread and not the other one was by pure chance. Surely one would guess such a thing existed since R42 has been around for several years now and isn't a new phenomenon. For the record, i'm not one of the people in the thread bashing the OP. If you re-read, I was thanking him/her for posting this. Besides, it's more useful than most of the threads around here anyways.

I'm guessing that the fans on Coldplaying are/were fans for a longer period of time than your average listener. I'm also guessing that because of this they are uncomfortable with the change from the Parachutes days to now. That's understandable but calling it the worst song ever is hyperbole. For the record, I this song does not fit on my top 5 songs but more importantly, its not on my bottom 5/10/15/etc either. It would be near the upper echelon if I were to rank it.
