  1. Eno is the gratest, i was just joking. he's the master brain behind Roxy Music, after all. but they were coldplay in 1999,2003 and 2005. some things are just suspossed to stay the same. i know it would be really nice if they'd finally acknowledged the fans and play new songs to see what's the reaction, it brings some intimacy, the intimacy they used to have and why lots of ppl started liking them any way. but that's not ok :/ why being an artist then when youre ruled by other ppl's wishes whose main concern is money making.
  2. i have nothing good to say about the prices and Chris's comment on it. i'm happy cus they finally arrived to south America for all the fans, but i don't really know how many of them will afford coming to the gig. :(
  3. me neither..the disapointments lasted through all the TL tour (rememebr the non stoping same setlist every single night, and all the speculation about chris singing on playback?) so it doesn't hit me too much too... oh..i just read that chris got some guy ticket for AF show last week...or at least got him in the venue.. hm...
  4. totally..who else gave them all they have now? most of the bands tend to forget it when it's suspossed to be opposite way around. i can't even belive we're talking about this, if someone told me i will have this kind of opinion last year or year before i would laugh my guts off..but.. what's even more worse there are several stories about this way of Chris meeting..
  5. yeah..the same thing goes for me- 4th one is the to be or not to be, or should i say..leave it with memories from 1999-2003 or open a whole new level of adoring them... i think i'll never forget Chris's *have to go-hurry* look on those pics. that really made sad, even more knowing how much Kara and Steph adore CP and how much i'm fond of those two on this forum.
  6. You accidently said something about Smiths being a great band and how you adore How soon is now or Queen is not dead album (can't remember it now) and it was buzzing in my head and i finally decided to give it a try and adore them now :nice: as for CP... i don't know ..at first i was like:EMI is the one to blame, but seeing how they started distancing from the fans (take Kara's and Steph's meeting with Chris few weeks ago and how weird he looked) really made me a bit more objective. esp. seeing that you really can fight with EMI if you want to (take RH for instance-they refused to release singles from KID A just to spite the EMI)... kinda.. bad.. and there's no nicey geeky coldplay, they now have some weird *U2 huge rock band* label on them. Guy drinks too much, Jonny hides too much, Will seems so distant and Chris is Gwyneth's husband
  7. thanks Mandy. :nice: you know what's weird? everytime i think of that obssesion with CP phase i had i connect it to this forum and some members- Steph,Therese,Ophelie (don't know where she is :(), Kara,Kelly,Florian,July,Denise,Nettie and you (i think i never told you that you're the reason why i started listening to Smiths, thanks). And seeing how all of you, including me went on separate obssesions (you-Muse, Therese-Steph-Libertines, me -RH)..oh.. CP was everything and now.. money machines, but you cant explain that to new members or those who came with X&Y why Cp is disapointng and going the easy way..
  8. depressed,my granpa died last week. you? i totally grew up CP, they disapointed me so much last year that i heard Parachutes after months and months 2 days ago... that's the one that hits me so much and when i see how much they've had and blew it all with x&y.
  9. yeah 1999-2003 CP was the best. :memories:
  10. are we counting downloaded ones or buyed ones?
  11. it so reminds me of good old coldplay :long-breath:
  12. i haven't too for months now..i think..the main area actually...
  13. PORN JONNY IS BACK!!
  14. oh..i'm just disapointed, but in a way being really objective, not pesimstic (if i was i wouldn't even come here). as for those new songs and playing them before the release..chris did it , not many months ago, as i already said it, on a humanitarian gig, so my point stands. just as one about establishing, that's my opinion. yours is different and it's ok. i don't think britney's established. quality is what establishes, coldplay had it all and let it go with x&y badly,IMO. and you think that's ok? there were threads and threads about it, i even found out one story about it and posted it. anyway. my let go or not point for cp is happening with the 4th album. they will either prove and improve or totally make me lose all the respect. i've been too long into them (from the very start) and seeing what they turned into on X&Y tour really ruined it for me, but as i said i'm giving them chance ().. hell..Brian Eno isn't that bad ;)
  15. LiveAid didn't had any effect, except for raising polution that day.
  16. they're obligated for 6 albums. Chris and Gwyneth are living in London, but Gwyneth is starting to film Ironman in March in USA so she's gonna be there with kids while Chris does the tour. after that..they'll probably stick to NYC a bit.
  17. daddy Guy has a beard, small one though and is hot as hell...
  18. Angie..you can belive me or not but you're the first thing that crossed my mind seeing Jonny's old/new mustache. AROBTTH phase is repeating :praying: thanks for all the pics, very nice.
  19. britney has sold millions too, does that mean she has a reputation of being an established singer? it seems we have different views on what establishes a band. in my opinion it's the music and the way they make it. they didn't do it with x&y. well..chris himself said the hardest part is the least liked song from they're point of view and yet they released it as a single. a bit weird, don't you think? please search a bit on all the competitions EMI did in coldplay's behalf and you'll see how many disapointed fans were involved. did you see LiveAid? fix you was played. no further comment. ;) and.... coldplay did play new songs on their previous tours, not on TL one but on parachutes one they did. chris also promoted new song (bucket for a crown) on the recent humanitarian campaign. and that what i like, cus that's the coldplay without all the *huge pop-rock band* labels. it showed how much they cared for fans opinions. oh..i'm not trying to argue with you, we're just sharing opinions (after all, that's what this forum is for :) ) and i don't like when someone from the very start tries to clasify my comments and me without knowing my stand on this. in no way i was trying to dispute this gig. i just don't think it will work. as for coldplay.. trust me.. i'm a fan and i WAS even bigger one before they started turning into money machines which was led by EMI. i just want to say that everything's not black and white and there's always but... even for a good cause. they disapointed me greatly in the last year and i know that i'm not alone when saying this, and i started to be a bit more objective when it comes to them. no hard feelings.
  20. that's a bold quote. who says they decide on what to play? they couldn't even pick the singles from X&Y 'cus EMI did that for them and you're telling me they decided this on their own? oh.. and this is not a small gig, did you see the headliners? it would be nice if they gave all the money just from the organisation to the Campains that are already trying to prevent the global warming or just decrease it. i'm sorry..but i dont' see any cause for this. it's nice to raise voice, but to make a massive fstival in a way..i don't think so.. that's just my opinion and i don't find it very nice you calling it obnoxious one. ;)
  21. no... i didn't say it was a bad thing, but if they weren't planing on releasing 4th album next year (read:very soon) they probably wouldn't do it. it's a very nice thing to do, but just as LiveAid didn't help too much i dont think this will, but that some other topic. all i'm saying..everything's not black and white ;) and please..don't twist my words.
  22. so the campaining for the 4th album has started even earlier then for the 3rd one.. :dozey:
  23. did you see video of Chris on AF's concert on youtube?
  24. no. i'm not in a mood,really.
  25. hello.. what's new..
