  1. They're definitely an intriguing band, you're right gail :nice: thanks for introducing them to me. I'm also one of those people who couldn't help thinking of Interpol while listening to Mistaken for strangers.
  2. I agree with you here. Interpol's songs are rather sad and most of them (if not them all) have a touch of melancholy. In my opinion, that's why when being on stage they try to convey this idea of seriousity to the fans and you can notice of that with their way of dressing as well as with their behaviour on stage. So, of course, it wouldn't make sense thay they started to jump around the stage or to dance because it wouldn't suit with their songs. And I think that if they did so, they wouldn't have the same credibility...
  3. So it seems that I have finally found out your little secret, miss!
  4. OI! the Shambles' guys! :nice: I'd love to go there!
  5. lol, I'm still here. And I checked the videos you posted above. I specially liked the Mariah's Carey cover (as well as the BP's cover, well, you already know that). oh, I have noticed that you're sorryangel now. weird, weird. Or not. haha. Night!
  6. at last it allows me to post! Anyway, I checked the site you said and it looks nicer than the official forum, really! The latter has some silly strict rules! Also, I've read that some ppl said that moderators do with the posts whatever they want to, so it sometimes seems that posts disappear without reason.
  7. *raises hand* I second what you said although I'm still finding out his stuff. And I gotta say that I tremendously enjoy his Bloc Party's cover of "this modern love" http://youtube.com/watch?v=tFXJKp-NgR8
  8. ^me too! The night I saw them live was amazing as well as unforgettable! :nice: I'm having a problem with their official forum. I registered there a few days ago and I validated my new account but for some unknown reasons (at least for me) I'm not allowed to post even though I have tried to several times. has anyone had the same prob than me?...
  9. haha  I don't even know what it would have looked worse in others' eyes! (Gail, I have to tell you about my last night!!!!!!!)
  10. you, bad girl, don't laugh at me  I bet you would have put the same face if you had seen them live!!
  11. yeah, sure. Their support band is Blonde Redhead (at the moment).
  12. oh, yeah indeed he is! fortunately no-one took a picture of me or my friend while staring at Daniel - because we'd have looked like idiots with our mouths and eyes wide open!! :laugh1: hope you get to see them live!! I'll never forget that night!
  13. OI, Shaymussh, don't worry about it. I bet you're gonna have a wicked time even if you go on your own. It's actually not that bad going alone.
  14. I saw them last night and I'm still under the effects. 1h and a half of pure insanity. Daniel is amazing onstage. It's worth to go to one of their gigs just for seeing the way he plays guitar. Carlos was out of our sight in spite of being on the first rows. He vanished once in a while... I loved Paul. How couldn't I? as well as Mr Fogarino. They're love. Best band on earth for seeing live. THE END
  15. Okay. I'm considering the possiblity of *saying hello to angels* LMAO.

I was watching the telly a few mins ago and they asked a question that I had never thought about... and I think it's pretty interesting. Imagine that your partner was betraying you. Who would you prefer he/she did it with, I mean, with someone of the same sex than your partner or someone of the opposite one? you know, guys, I feel really curiosity for your replies.

haha  I talked with a mate of mine who did this Erasmus thingy in Germany and her German wasn't that great and she didn't have too many probs. She spoke Eng all the time while learning a bit of German at the same time. well, of course I would go to a college in which lessons are given in English. I wouldnt be that crazy.

I'm planning to do it next year, I'd like to go to the UK or to Germany. I'm sure it could be an amazing experience as well as, as Sal said, it would help me a lot and I'd feel for real what being independent is. I'd do it basically for personal and language skills purposes, not for academic ones, though. The thing is that... I'm so concerned about feeling alone, or a possible failure if you know what I mean.
  19. There's so much cruelty :disappointed:
  20. thanks Magda! Im going to be 23 next year, as well, but getting old is a bit depressing in my opinion... I feel like Im missing life and things in my life are happening so quickly, anyway. do you feel the same?
  21. in fact I've never left this forum, it's just that I dont post as much as I used to but I still check it often. And by the way, for the ones who dont know me, Im Iris  thankyou for remembering my birthday, that means a lot for me, really! And thanks to this very special person who created this thread, sweet Lív!  a big hug for all of you!! :nice: Anyway, being 22 isnt that great. I feel like Im an oldie!
  22. that made me think of facebook... dont know why though :P

:nice:
